Spoilers New York Comic-Con Season 4 Trailer

the Qowat Milat are in a lot of shots, attacking Discovery crew

Burnham's mother is also back.

Kinda meh about this one.........I mean it is shot and lit beautifully, just wish we weren't doing ANOTHER mysterious anomaly to follow up The Burn........Just my impression after one quick watch.

I get why they may have made that decision though given how the Federation was depicted as responding to the burn. It's about the Federation and Starfleet coming out of their self-imposed exile and stepping up to the plate as protectors and a beacon of hope in the face of an overwhelming threat.

I think the Qowat Milat and Starfleet are fighting a third party. There seems to be a group dressed in black, most prominent in a shot where one of them is attacking a starfleet officer in command red.

edit to add: the people in black are also brawling with the qowat milat on book's ship.

Looks like fun! Discovery peaked for me in season 2, but I'm very curious what this season holds, especially with that AR wall tech. I want totally fucking bonkers alien worlds like something out of old Gold Key comics. Or maybe they'll save them for Strange New Worlds?

Nice rebooted Ferengi. Good to know they're not 100% backpedalling on alien redesigns!

Alright, I had to sit down and do a rewatch and pause at different moments. My brief observations (in no particular order):
-Saru has a second insignia on his uniform on the opposite side of the comm badge.
-Federation President is giving a Federation flag to the Nivaar leader.
-New alien being evacuated by Tilly.
-Still enjoying the action work of the phasers and swords.
-Orions are back in some capacity as part of the "shared galaxy" council.
-Really liking the Federation president this time around. Probably one of the view I have genuinely liked since Star Trek IV. Her comments, if they are directed at Burnham, are so excellent in terms of identifying character strengths and weaknesses.
-There appear to be new away team style uniforms worn by Burnham, Tilly, and Gray.
-Why is there a cat in sickbay?

Cautiously optimistic. Hesitant because the galaxy ending phenomenon, but I really live this idea of going in to the anomaly to understand it, which reminds me more of Voyager.

I'm pretty sure Trekcore identified a "new" Discovery season 4 alien as being a background Yorktown denizen from Star Trek Beyond when the first trailer came out.

I was wondering that. Didn't have a chance to review the Kelvinverse aliens but that was my gut instinct.
