Speaking from my own experience, I drew a sci-fi webcomic in the 00s, and if I were given another chance I’d just start with the concepts that worked, ditch the ones that didn’t and rebuild everything else. If that’s what JMS is doing I’m very interested. For a show like B5 though there’s also the risk over polish will remove the charm.
There's an impulse, in life and art, to revisit stuff you loved making before, an "If I knew then what I know now..." type thing. And sometimes it happens. Books like The Hobbit. Even on a technical level, there's stuff like elements of Return of the Jedi being a deliberate second bite at the apple of Star Wars, or, closer to home, Babylon 5 doing the Battle of the Line in season one, and then doing it again in season five.
New actor playing a young cadet New actor- Hey guys. Just updating my instagram followers. I'm on the set of "B5" right now >_>
It's CW so surely this will be a show about teenagers finding their way through life, love and sci-fi stuff
When Lucas came back and asked what he'd do different his answer was "More cute things and child oriented annoying slapstick".
Age wise, if your going to have the same kind of story , and a 10 year gap, Sheridan would be near 40. As a comander and second in command of a ship in the Minbari war he'd be near 30 ish. Add 10 years. He can't be a 20 something. Ivonova can be she was a teenager in the war. Garabaldi was a ground pounder so he's in his 30s. At least After 10 years. Londo was an ambassador in the war, so was GKar .. So there in the 40s at least. Deleen was there, but Minbari age slower so could be 30s Tallia could be 20s. Zack as well Vir and lennier, lt corwin, and natoth could be 20s
Sheridan: Cuba Gooding jr. Sinclair: Kal Penn Delenn: Ming Na Wenn. Ivanova: Kieko Agena G'Kar: Grahem Green Londo: Curtis Armstrong Talia: Lucy Lu Lyta: Brandy
There are more than references: there's a bunch of character crossover. To be fair, that may have been more Discovery than him...
It's not that sort of show, is it? Oh, fallacy ... I read that as phallusy. I thought maybe Jeff Bezos was designing the shape of the station.
No one can stop the big phallus. Sheridan: Charlie Sheen Sinclair: Michael J Fox Delenn: Heather Locklear Laurel Takishima: Connie Briton Ivanova: Jennifer Espisito G'Kar: Michael Boatman Londo: Alan Ruck Garibaldi: Richard Kind Talia: Lana Parilla. Lyta: Victoria Dillard Kosh: Barry Bostwick Vir: Alan Chaplin.
B5 had a couple STAR TREK cast members make appearances... Majel Barrett and, of course, Walter Koenig spring to mind. Maybe do the same for here? Given the ages now, for Bester why not cast... LeVar Burton. He has the eyes that can turn to an evil stare quickly, plus he can make his voice menacing with his very calm sound. Nothing is more sinister than a quiet villain.
