What We Do in the Shadows -- series 3. (SPOILERS)

Forgive me if I missed it, but I couldn't find a thread on the new season of WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS, which debuted in the USA this week. (FX aired two new eps in a row on Thursday night.)

So what did folks think of the first two eps? I thought we're off to a good start and curious to see how our undead crew handle their newfound power as the Vampire Council of the Eastern Seaboard.

Pretty solid, I do like that they keep shifting the situations that the vamps are in to keep things moving. I thought Colin Robinson was maybe a bit off or maybe they're tweaking the character a bit. The Cloak of Duplication served as good fodder for comedy.

I’m so happy the show is back. The first two episodes were great and I like the conflicts it set up for this season. Love how Laslo doesn’t give “a rat’s ass” about the Vamperic Council. And how Guillermo isn’t as subservient to them anymore, even though they keep trying to keep him down.

I'm so glad it's back! We found out that Colin's last name isn't really Robinson, that Nandor thinks he can't talk to women, and that vampires are only up to VCRs in tech. The rebellious young vamps were wonderfully fun, and Nadja's way of dealing with it was awesome. Guillen's reaction looks at the camera continue to be priceless.

Off to a good start. I rewatched the first two seasons recently as comfort viewing and found them even funnier the second time through. I'm intrigued by The Sire!

I've watched a few episodes of Wellington Paranormal since it became available on Crave and it's not quite working for me. The best jokes in it are the bits at the end of each episode where the Chief gives the breakdown of the case and something paranormal occurs behind him.

Keep going. It took a bit to find it's feet.

Nadja thinking it was the original Rat Pack was hysterical! I was actually touched by how important it was to Lazlo to repay his best friend. The vamps trying to treat Guillermo better was just perfect.

Why can't Derek turn Guillermo? Maybe he's just too stupid

Also, maybe Guillermo wants a specific vampire to be his "sire"? I don't know if this universe has vampires having a special connection with the vampire that turned them, but if they do I could see Guillermo not wanting to be connected with such a stupid vampire. Even if there isn't a special connection, it would probably be an embarrassing thing to talk about with other vampires if he was turned by a vampire too stupid to hide from the sun.

I've been making silly Bakula/Dracula jokes for years so that made my day.

I don't know what it is but I love the way this show does its FX. I watch blockbusters that cost 100s of millions of dollars and yawn sometimes and yet I find myself time and again really digging some sequence or another on this silly little show.

Lol, the ship is named Stugots. Episode felt kinda repetitive, seeing as it treads the same ground (literally) as the Sire episode.

This may be the only time I've ever or will ever feel this way but, Poor Colin Robinson! :weep:

BTW, anyone else think Lazlo would've died of one or more venereal diseases if he hadn't been made into a vampire?
