I don't know if there is any truth to it but I heard that some hacks managed to disable some systems in cars that were connected to the internet ( like the brakes for example). Scary stuff.

Haven't seen the episode. Was there a reason why so many old antique ships were docked at Starbase 25?

I know i've been very critical of Lower Decks in the past, but this episode was actually quite alright. Better than the abortion that was the Mugato episode. Very light hearted and i loved the Mariner & Boimler etching alongside Kirk & Spock at the end. 8/10.

I only skimmed a few of the thread pages, but I have not seen anyone pointing out yet how the Data Bubble bottles all popped to the water surface like emergency floatation devices.
    I found that funny. :)

True, but I would like my fanwank to actually make some sort of sense.

That one, next to that one, from the one thing.

People like to collect things. Ships are the new classic cars.

I like to think they rushed it into production so it would look nice for the dramatic reveal to the crew, but it was still 6 months to a year away from being space worthy.

    1. Daedalus class starships which were decommissioned in the 22nd century.

    2. Andorian Kumari class vessels which were in use in the 22nd century.

    3. Maquis raiders which were over 40 years old.

    4. Ships which resemble the Centaur type but with extra impulse engines and different nacelles. The Centaur type was based on the outdated Excelsior.

If this was someone’s collection, that would have made some sort of sense. But as was mentioned above, there was no context given for the old ships docked there. The implication being that these ships were active duty Federation/Starfleet vessels.
