We believe my son was overpaid on his pension when he got Jobkeeper. We told Centrelink at the time and offered to pay it back then and there. We were told that we would have to wait until a debt was raised. Now more than a year later we still have not been told that he has a debt or not. However I am certain we will get a nasty letter one day demanding the money be returned. At least we know he has been overpaid and have kept the money needed to repay it back. Other Centrelink recipients aren’t so lucky and are hounded about returning any money that is owed (or not owed).

I think my son was overpaid about $36 a fortnight for 16 months or about $1200. My son was made to pay it back over 13 payments or around $92 a fortnight which caused him hardship. Yet they allow the rich to keep billions that they were not entitled to.

Watch out for them! I got a work insurance payout, and went an saw them, said I wantto pay them some. They said a debt needed to be raised... they thought. Very unsure. So I thought no more about it, a bad move on my part. Nine months not only do I get a bill from Centrelink for $30K, but one from the ATO for $20K. Bastards. Bastards. No idea where I'm going to find the money.
Bastards.
The best part about all this is that the great Australian people will return these thieves and plunderers at the next election.
Hopefully they won't ... but I expect some people hate Labor Party for the lockdowns (as Melbourne extends their lockdown by another 7 days)

What's with mask mandates? Adults have to wear them but children are exempt? Are they serious with this? It doesn't sound right.
Over 12s have to wear them.
I heard that part, that's the part I don't get. So kids under 12 don't which puts them at higher risk.
