Spoilers The Ships of Lower Decks

I remember the Ronin as a popular fanon mod ship design for the old ship based Star Trek games like Bridge Commander, Armada, and Starfleet Command.

Its interesting that one of the Andorian Kumari ships has vertical fins. I wonder if it was the intention to make a variant, or if someone confused that second type of Andorian warship as a variant of the Kumari class.

Yes, I meant Yorktown, I misspoke. The way it was so oddly designed (and the other things you mentioned), I really couldn’t get a reasonable understanding of the scale, other than it was quite massive and had gravity issues in certain places because of the wacky layout.

That’s actually not a small ship. I bet they had to upscale it after that one scene of the shuttle landing in that lower pod.

Gotta fit those 3 decks in the saucer rim that aren't on the MSD!

I figured the ship was Voyager-big, wasn't expecting Ent-D big but okay. Then again, engineering is enourmous and they have cetacean ops!

Basically we see Ambassador-big here, sans the secondary hull.

Which is fine for those anomaliously low-registered Californias, possible age-mates to USS Ambassador: if they were even bigger than that supposed frontline starship, something would be amiss. But a contemporary whose tasks may include towing a distressed frontliner could very well be required to be big enough for that task...

A California with Ambassador engines might look odd. But something slightly longer, perhaps more Excelsior style, would be fine for those early examples.

It's not terribly important to me, but I actually kinda preferred the idea that the ship was smaller than that, I can't say why.

The windows do look kinda huge compared to the Galaxy, though. And that's considering that even there they always looked a tad too large for me compared to what we saw of the interior sets.

535m eh?
So at 3.5 meter tall decks, the saucer is 11 decks tall. 3 decks kind of sort of ( not really if you want some oh I don't know Hull Thickness, framework etc.) fit on the rim, and the 2 deck a/b deck bridge thingy does well.
Windows on the top kind of line up, the double row on the bottom is completely wrong, they all fall on 1 deck.
7 deck eng hull, kind of sort of fit the 2 rows of windows with a 3rd deck in the middle.
That size is okay, some fudging, but not as nearly as much as other ships.
though now the MSD is wrong.. go figure..
