What Star Trek movie do you like rewatching the most?

I mean, the ones I like most? 2, 4, 8, 6, 13, 3 and 5 I'll watch any time any where. 7 and 11 I'll usually watch. 9, 10 and 12 I've only watched a couple times each. 1 is an outlier as its a movie that I like, but not really a casual rewatch. Just yesterday I heard the Star Trek theme coming from upstairs and went to see what they were watching. They were the end credits and they're like "Sorry you missed it.", but it was Into Darkness so I replied "No, I didn't.".

Generations. Don't start with me. It's nostalgia, mostly. When it was released life was easy and fun. Plus, as a big fan of TNG watching that cast on the big screen was my TMP moment, I guess. And, hey, it looks great. The shots of Kirk riding his horsey over the fields are stunning.

People can say what they want about the quality of Generations itself, but the scenes of Picard and Kirk inside the Nexus always make me tear up. Makes me think of missed opportunities and past regrets in my own life, and people I used to know.

But the movie also makes me realize that living in the past is futile and to appreciate the now.

WRoK or TUC I've rewatched the most. Everything about them is more or less perfect.

Then TMP - it is indeed a visual feast, with such nuance and detail in miniatures that it has a tangible feel that few movies of the time have. Even compared to Star Wars, TMP one-ups it with cementing a sense of scale even more distinctly. (I didn't see the person's head out of the travel pod bay until a few years ago, much less other nuances in the design. A shame they ran into production delays and other problems, but it's a unique outing and took place at the right time. 4K UHD will look even more impressive.

After those I've watched TSFS, GEN and BEY the most.

I can rewatch any TOS movie except TMP.
I can rewatch any TNG movie except NEM.
I can rewatch any Kelvin movie except STID.

My wife and I have tickets to see ST:IV on the big screen in a few weeks. That should be fun.

Assuming we don't shut down again.

:scream:

I can easily re-watch TSfS and TVH, and will jump at the change to re-watch TWoK. I love re-watching TUC because I initially saw it in the theater with 2 of my best friends (and then the 3 of us - 2 actors and an English major - tried to out-Shakespeare each other!), so it brings back good memories and makes me cry when the signatures come up.

I haven't seen TMP in ages, so I'm looking forward to the 4K. It might bring back a little of the magic of waiting in line to see it with my parents when I was 11. :)

I don't remember much about the TNG movies except 1) I was happy Riker & Deanna got together and 2) watching Nemesis in the theater with my Hubby on one side of me and one of the best friends from above on the other and BOTH of them making Superman jokes when Data jumps. :guffaw:I should re-watch Generations and First Contact again soon.

I will happily re-watch the 2009 ST, as it was fun, but probably not STID. For some reason, I can't remember anything about STB.

VI: Undiscovered Country... for some reason it has a high rewatch value for me, despite not being my favorite film in the franchise.

It's very rewatchable. More than once I've fired it up just to research one plot point or line of dialogue only to end up rewatching the whole thing.

JJTrek, I found them to be entertaining and I love to look at the spectacle. TOS movies II, and IV and sometimes I and V I considered treats for me, so I see them maybe once a year bc I love that ensemble of Shatner, Nimoy, and Kelley.
