2020 X Box Series X Vs. Playstation 5 thread.

Just checked Amazon, still no available PS5s

Comments though were hilarious - people are downvoting the PS5 because Scalpers are selling it for 1000+ on Amazon, why is this a product problem?

And now Nintendo wants to do a Switch "Pro"...
More chip scarcity...
Well at least Nintendo doesn't use AMD's chips which are in both the PS5 and the Series X/S. I presume they're gonna use a new generation of the Nvidia Tegra in the Switch "Pro".

So are PS5s any easier to find now?
What is the actual official price at the stores? The only website I could find where the consoles came up was Wal-Mart, and those were all third party seller selling them at different prices all over $1,000.

Ps5’s aren’t that hard to get if you know where to look. I’ve managed to get 4 of them over the past 6 months for my friends and brother. Just follow the trackers on Twitter and discord. You’ll get one eventually

I got the PS4 in 2015, 2 years after it got released...
Waiting 2 years for a PS5 is fine too, i have no FOMO...
And by that time there will be more games(Some on sale) and the M2 drive slot might be activated so we can expand the storage...

My main genres are JRPG and indie platformer so there's just no reason for me to get an XBox. If there is something I really want that's not on Playstation I'll just play it on PC.

I looked online and it seems even car makers and consumer goods like TVs and stuff will be affected by the chip shortage

^ Yeah, car manufacturers and appliance makers seem to have been hit the hardest, from what I've read. One car manufacturer, I forget who it was, even decided to go back to using physical displays as opposed to digital.

Yeah, I looked into it as well, and was about to post Peugeot :) I had it mind that it might have been Toyota but hadn't remembered it was actually one of the French automakers.

I find it fascinating. It's a good idea if they can figure out a way to go back to it, and I find it shows how much we rely computers in general.

I've been wanting to upgrade my PC for a long while now as it's far due for an upgrade, but the chip shortage and the prices soaring have made it nigh impossible.

Right now pre-built PCs are the cheap option, even for the RTX cards...
