Lucked out to be honest. My mom was trying to get us the one with the best protection (as in checking out what she could about each beforehand). We weren't thrilled with the J & J one. And it was the only one we were trying to avoid. That's the message going around on Twitter... and while I get where they're coming from, I can see why people would want to try to get the best protection that they can.

My Ps3 still works! It did a good job with downloading patches and it didn't get too warm. (It's well ventilated, but the Ps3 tends to get warmer than I'd like sometimes (not overheat warm, but still it's rather unnerving)).

I walked over a mile on the treadmill today . Last month, I couldn't even stand for more than 10 minutes because of my back pain. So, not much of an achievement but at least I'm headed in the right direction.

Went lamp shopping with my mum today and she bought me a very nice lamp and a bulb that has a remote control so I can dim it and change the colour. Never had one before and it's like a new toy.

The bluray drive in my second hand PS3 broke years ago but I still use it for the DVD player and it has bonuses like all the DVD functions and the controller isn't infrared so it doesn't need to be pointed at the console. I'm looking to buy a new DVD player though because it has started getting very hot recently and the fans are going nonstop. Apart from the fire hazard it's very loud and big so it will be retired in the next few days. It's served me well though considering how long I've had it and I could probably open the casing and clean out the fans but for the sake of £15 for a new very small DVD player I'm getting too old to do that. I bought it years ago just to play GTA5 and got as far as meeting the third character (that crazy dude) before the bluray drive broke and it no longer recognised games but it still played DVDs.

Do you know of any computer places that could fix it? I found one in my area that fixed PS3s, amongst other things.

I bought it from CEX and it was in a cupboard for almost a year before I even started using it so when it broke it was outside the 12 month warranty. I asked the store about it anyway and they said to bring it in and they would see what they could do which was jolly decent of them. I even thought about trying to install a Bluray drive myself but in the end did neither and it wouldn't be worth it now as I could buy another console. The ports on the back are caked in dust so it must be just as bad inside.

I was doing weed eating and leaf blowing, which mainly means I get dirt blown all over me. Even up my nose! So I took a nice shower and used the wonderful body wash and lotion that I got for Christmas, it is cherry blossom scented. I feel so relaxed now! :) and smell better too...

I had a family get together at my house today and it was the first time since COVID started we've been all together.

The Blue Tits seem to enjoy our feeder (or hang upside down of the trellis to have a go at some of the plants).
Robin prefers the table (though the Blues like that too).
The Blackbirds (Especially mother as she's nicknamed) lean towards the table but will sometimes peck around the garden.
The Magpies normally manages the table too.
Pidgeons tend to wait for the other birds to knock stuff off the table.
The Crow (Singular so far) tends to bring bread from someone else to dunk in our bird table:)
Squirrel also tends to get on the table.

It's certainly nice to watch, but the food goes in a hurry :D

The most frequent bird feeder visitor is... the squirrel. Had to switch the type of bird feeder to limit the eaters to birds.

I think our feeders swing too much for Squirrel to be entirely happy about it. He should be able to manage it, but prefers the food on the tables instead.

One of the tables has a rail around it that the smaller birds queue on and the pidgeons can't seem to manage that table. The Crows, Magpies and d Squirrel seem to have no trouble though.
