I cant be the only one that instantly thought this woman looks like Louise Fletcher (head-shape wise) and even the hair

I wonder if that woman is half human or half bajoran. Either way I'm pretty excited to finally see Cardassians in season 4.

Louise Fletcher... the woman who made nurses scary long before Annie Wilkes showed up. And she didn't even need a sledgehammer (or axe, for those who read the book).

The mystery woman in the trailer looks to be 3/4th human, 1/4th Cardassian to me, more or less. We know what a half Cardassian looks like from Ziyal, and this is a lot more toned down.

I'm also quite happy that this means that Discovery has finally echewed the "full mask on humanoids" thing they were doing through last season.

It's likely that the menopause age is much higher in the 24th century than it is today.
