I truly hope that won't be the case. But these days, who knows?

After they do all fictional ships...I want to see them do Buran and shuttle, TAV RASV and other spacecraft.

Have they done the Lysian sentry drone yet?
It would make for a great Klingon Fast Patrol Boat-like the sub-like Mars/soliton waverider

IIRC, there have been proposals for Eaglemoss to do an entirely real-world manned spaceflight collection. Don't know if the demand is vocal enough to convince them though.

I think my main collection is largely complete, but might be missing some of the later bonus ones, honestly, with the number of releases and the random distribution the past few years it's been hard to keep track. I do know I'm missing about twelve of the Discovery ones, those seem to have come to a complete halt.

Ordered the Aelahl Warbird from STO. I absolutely love the look of it - it's easily the best new Romulan design they've produced - but I don't think I'd actually USE it in-game. I grew bored of beam array builds, and I don't think she has the turn rate (despite it being twice that of a D'deridex) to use cannons or beam banks effectively. A Malem is likely my next in-game T6 purchase (with the 11th Anniversary 2x free T6 ships reward).

I was watching "One Little Ship", a favourite episode of mine recently and read that the model makers actually built a new runabout model with a higher level of detail. Maybe Eaglemoss could make another attempt on the runabout based on the Rubicon?

Eaglemoss is not in the habit of reissuing a "2.0" version of their models.
There might be a market for it?
I, for example, wouldn't mind them redoing the refit Enterprise, and Voyager. The latter is a good model but newer variants, like Assimilated Voyager, look much crisper and with improved detail.

Might also be an opportunity to release a new Miranda-class model? :rommie:

Where did you see that? I can't find anything about a second Runabout miniature being built, and that shot doesn't look any different from the original. Maybe it's a new CG model that was more accurate to the original miniature?

I found the XL Miranda to be one of the best models they ever made and, IMO, wouldn’t need to be done. The refit Enterprise, however, has an abomination of a primary hull and should definitely be redone.

Yeah, if they EVER did a do over the XL 1701-A would have to top the list.

That should be their largest offering—to do a refit RIGHT—all metal

It sure looks CG to me.

I'm not sure that supports the "higher detail" claim; all it says is that it was a six-inch model. (I'd guess such a small model might be lower in detail.)

The decal on top of the saucer failed on the XL Reliant. It's barely visible.
Too bad they can't just phase out misshaped models and correct something for the next production run. It worked with the reverse-arrowhead on the Defiant.

The article doesn't say it outright, but heavily implies the new Runabout model was supposed to be life-sized to the shrunken version, maybe so it could be shot on-set or was otherwise easier to match with the live-action footage.

Right!? How is it that one of the, if not the, most important ships in the line is so difficult for them to get right? I don't care whether they fix the A or just do a proper XL of the 1701 refit but that's a design that deserves to be done right. Like we're getting two big La Sirenas in two months and a large Fenris Ranger ship and they still haven't gotten us a proper model of one of the mainstays of the whole shebang? Three different Enterprise-Fs and an XL J and still having trouble with the A? Mind-boggling.

The Ent-E has great detail. So a big Ent-A should be easy.

The primary purpose of the 6-inch Runabout was so that they could film all their set-ups much easier than with the larger one. The new one allowed them to execute moves (using a three-axis head) that were harder with the big one, all those rolls and swoops and such. It wasn't shot on-set, as the article talks about the efforts they made to composite the model photography as realistically as possible, adding shadows and reflections.
