Yes. Came out on DVD, Blu-ray and UHD the same day.
The original. AKA, the one they actually expected millions of people to spend money on at the cinema.

1) My partner and I agree that there's something really, really gross about the idea of a Batman and Superman movie getting an R-rating.
2) Looking at that overview, I don't see much to change either my review of the film or my partner's. The only substantive differences I see are:
a) more detail on the Luthor-faked-the-Nairomi-attack subplot (also: "Nairomi??")
b) more detail on how the Capitol bombing was carried out
c) Superman actually rescuing someone after the Capitol bombing instead of swanning off
d) Steppenwolf briefly appearing to Luthor in the Kryptonian ship at the end
e) the use of more violent gore.
I don't really care about the incredibly minor plot holes items A, B, and D patch up. C does represent an improvement, but D makes me actively not want to watch the extended cut.
The rest of the differences appear to just be alternate takes, greater use of 9/11 imagery at the beginning, and generally a more indulgent pacing from Snyder.
None of the differences listed strike me as addressing Batman v Superman's fundamental problems with structure, theme, characterization, and tone.
I would not recommend reading Injustice: Gods among us. The amount of violence and gore and such is not always something I expect when I pick up a comic. I enjoyed that series far more than most others but still not every style of Superman story is going to fit the same characterization.

2) No. Batman is still a character created for children with a significant child audience. He's been on kids' lunchboxes for 80 years. No Batman movie should be above PG-13 -- and Warner Bros. obviously knows this or else they would have let the theatrical release be R-rated. There is a reason that the greatest Batman adaptation ever made was a weekday afternoon cartoon that aired on Fox Kids and Kids WB.
I have no interest in reading a book like that. Everything I've heard about it sounds like it was created by people who are fundamentally embarrassed to still enjoy the superheroes they loved as children and are trying too hard to make them into something "for adults."

On another board, people are saying that no one's gotten their order from these big name stores. So maybe there was an issue.
This seems to on back order everywhere. Aside from the film's own innumerable merits, the obvious impact on sales has been the response to the Snyder Cut.
Almost certainly a production issue.
The problem with BvS theatrical cut is that it makes no sense. They cut essential scenes. Having said that, if your issue with the movie is anything but "hmmm why are people reacting like this" type of issue, the extended will not help. And yes, Snyder's style does make movies look like semi random clips. Flow is not something he has yet to master.
Well, usually I suggest the Extended Edition to friends who never watched the movie. I believe that the consensus is that is the better version. But I can understand that someone could not appreciate the extra-violence.
I'd say agree to disagree but I can't even fathom this concept of people being embarrassed by superheroes because they dared write a different version than what they grew up with.
I don't care if Batman is still marketed to kids. That doesn't make it a predominantly kid based story telling. Comics were always a wide variety form my experience, especially with Batman. So I have no issue with Snyder's version existing next to Adam West or any other version. I'm a 36 year old adult who still plays with Legos. I'm not embarrassed by my childhood heroes. But I welcome different interpretations of them.
