During the 1st season the Producers often said they did not want to presume this show would have a long run and hold back ideas. So they pushed many of their best ideas right away. Specifically I interpreted that to mean everything to involve the mystery of the Reverse Flash and Harrison Wells. I think the negative side effect is they have tried to recapture that with 2nd string Speedster villains and other minor league season long Bad guys. I do not care if those other evil speedsters are from the comics. Even in the comics all those characters are poor retreads of Eobard Thawne.
I have not watched it yet but a few weeks ago a online Zoom reunion was done with John Wesley Shipp, Amanda Pays and producer Danny Bilson. Bilson said he pitched to the CW a story in which Grant’s character travels to Earth 90 to preform some type of investigation involving the original cast.

Regardless if this show has one more season or many more I hope they go back to that early mindset. That they can not presume to have time to save their best ideas for later.
Call it fan service, call it whatever - they show has created a mythos is that has rarely been developed. Most of its mythology is bouncing from one big bad to the next. Not exploring ideas.
Number 1 to me - why and how did Eobard Thawne become Reverse Flash in his future. Also Barry himself in the future builds Gideon.
We never got a true Rogues Teamup story.

No words...
They can not assume they have all the time in the world to get to these things.
Minor nitpick: the writers should have upped the number of potential casualties if the plane had exploded. Hundreds seems kinda low.
Nice reference: the discussion of the Kansas State Fair fried food recommended by Clark.
I thought he looked a bit "fuller", I thought maybe from getting a little older.Grant has overhauled his mind & body for season 7

Grant shows up for work
Costume Department: you gotta be shittin‘ us!
Still, at least this show is acknowledging Superman as part of the Arrowverse, which is more than Superman & Lois has done so far.
It's a new show trying to find it's legs. I think adding a ton of Arrowverse references and Kara cameo's would detract new viewers who haven't caught up with the Arrowverse.
