Spoilers NO SPOILERS FOR CODA - A Lit-verse Grand Finale...What We Know (Spoilers for Entire Lit-verse)

So they're specifically called "Star Trek: Coda" and not "Star Trek: The Next Generation" in this post... so looking cross-over and not necessarily TNG-specific? Excellent.

I'm so excited for this. At least it appears the trek books get to tie things up in this particular canon, unlike what disney did to the star wars old EU. This got me so excited to get back to the litverse. Knowing we will get a sense of closure to this era of trek storytelling.

I know next to nothing about Rush, but the page on their website offers this commentary on the song David linked to above:

LONG AGO I READ A STORY FROM ANOTHER TIMELINE about a character named Candide. He also survived a harrowing series of misadventures and tragedies, then settled on a farm near Constantinople. Listening to a philosophical rant, Candide replied, “That is all very well, but now we must tend our garden.”

I have now arrived at that point in my own story. There is a metaphorical garden in the acts and attitudes of a person’s life, and the treasures of that garden are love and respect. I have come to realize that the gathering of love and respect – from others and for myself – has been the real quest of my life.

“Now we must tend our garden.”

And the first few lines of the lyrics:

In this one of many possible worlds
All for the best, or some bizarre test?
It is what it is – and whatever
Time is still the infinite jest

I'm grateful there's a sendoff.
This is immensely sad. TrekLit adapted to ENT, KEL, DSC, Short Treks, it would've survived DSC s3, but PIC comes along and wham! TrekLit is back to square one. It's all over. :wah:

Hey, we got a good twenty years of these various ongoing storylines. That’s a pretty good run, even longer than the run of the series that originated them all.

Don’t cry cuz it’s (going to be) over. Smile cuz it happened.

I'm curious as how the writers will wrap up the books series after such a long time. It's been a good run we've had alot of good books over the years .

I would love an updated version of The Almighty Star Trek Lit-verse Reading Order Flow Chart (that would make it.. Mark VII?), with the Coda Trilogy.. providing the total view of the TrekLitverse (2001-2021)

It’d be really nifty if Coda came with a timeline of things from Avatar on, make at least a sketching of the course of events being wrapped up.

Not necessarily needed, but definitely would be a nice touch.

@Dayton Ward A conversation on the psiphi boards ages ago led to the formation of the Star Trek Timeliners and the multiple times the Pocket Books Timeline was published. Maybe this conversation could be a repeat! You know how to reach out to us!
