Tim became "Drake" in Young Justice, Drake being the name of one of the most fierce birds on Earth 3. <Insert Duck emoji>
Bruce Wayne (Iain Glen) was a recurring character in season 2, and season 3 is going to be set in Gotham, so I expect him to be an even larger presence. He hasn't appeared onscreen as Batman, but he doesn't need to if you want to tell the story of his kid from a past tryst with a super-assassin showing up.
And it's already been reversed to him being Robin. Appears to have been a Dan Didio idea, nixed once Didio was gone.
"Drake" is also the Old/Middle English word for "dragon." In modern fiction and lore, it's used to refer to a four-legged dragon, typically wingless and relatively small for a dragon. Alternately, it can mean a juvenile dragon. So it's actually a pretty cool name for a teen superhero, aside from, y'know, giving away the guy's actual last name.
Except that the comic in question specifically and explicitly calls out that it's a reference to the bird, on panel. Many Tim Drake fans are on record noting that as awkward as the name is, being his actual last name, it would have gone over better if Brian Bendis had used the dragon angle. And a better costume would have probably helped, the brown and gray look they tried was just too busy and yet somehow still bland.
I guess because he used to be a Robin? It's weird that everyone now, creators included, thinks that Robin was named after the bird, when the very first page of his debut appearance as The Sensational Character Find of 1940 stated explicitly that he was modeled on Robin Hood. I guess Robin Hood isn't as big in pop culture now as he was in the '40s, though.
Errol Flynn's The Adventures of Robin Hood had come out two years before Robin's debut and had been a smash hit. No doubt Finger, Robinson, and Kane wanted to capitalize on its success. You can kind of see the influence in the costume design.

Vincent Kartheiser cast as Scarecrow https://variety.com/2021/tv/news/titans-season-3-scarecrow-vincent-kartheiser-1234962620/
Just started Season 2, hoping to be done by the time 3 starts. 2 episodes in and it's off to a great start.
I like Titans a lot more than I probably should, given my well-documented aversion to grimdark. The stuff with Conner and Krypto last season (the main reasons I bothered with the show in the first place) was really great.
It looks like they sticking with Bruce Wayne in some 'mentoring' role here too - which is an aspect I liked in Season 2 (even though that was in Dick's mind/a projection from Raven. I like their Bruce Wayne. Spoiler Will this be a start of a storyline that leads to Jason Todd becoming The Red Hood?
Yeah, they announced that a few months ago, and even revealed his costume already. Have they given any indication if we'll ever see any of the other Justice League members besides Bruce?
