I always like it when comic book movies or tv shows cast actors whose name sound like comic book characters (generally, alliterative names. Off the top of my head, there’s Amy Adams, Kristen Kruek, Ryan Reynolds, Gal Gadot, Holly Hunter, Charlie Cox, Nick Nolte and now Ginger

I checked her filmography and other than Perry Mason, she's done a handful of movies I've never heard of, and she was also the main character in the second Tales of Arcadia series, 3Below. Her 3Below character also appeared in a couple Trollhunters episodes, and will be featured in the big crossover finale movie Rise of the Titans.
Pickle Rick, the one solo writing credit Jessica Gao has for Rick and Morty is awesome, easily one of the show's best episodes, and while of course when it comes to Tatiana Maslany everybody focuses on Orphan Black, where she was amazing, but I also really liked her on Heartland. She's one of the few TV romantic rivals who is actually a really cool, likeable character.

I think I've asked kirk before, but I'd like to know what he's seen her in that she gave a "shitty" performance.

Except none of that is true--it is an opinion you have. And it is not shared by most. I could just as easily say about this show Revered show runner+great casting+critically acclaimed award winning actress is promising news that this will be a great show. And that is my opinion.

The only tolerable parts of that Rick & Morty episode are the pickle rick parts. The therapist was bullshit, and I was glad to see Rick give the character a big "fuck you" in a later episode, presumably making up for letting that stupid scene happen in the pickle rick episode.

The writer obviously didn't like the show, I'm betting it was some kind of nepotism that let her write that script, and since she has several Cartoon Network/Adult Swim credits, she obviously knew someone that got her the gig, she certainly didn't get it from her (complete lack of) writing ability. She hasn't been back on the show in three years, and its certainly not because she got too big for it, so she obviously wasn't a particularly successful writer on the show.

Good for you. Some people love Zach Snyder and Michael Bay films, people like shit all the time. It doesn't bother me, its other people who get bothered by my opinion on stuff like She-Hulk, I personally don't care if people like crappy things  Well, outside of people that are really obnoxious about it (Snyder fans are intolerable at this point), but that doesn't apply here.

I definitely struggled through an episode of Orphan Black at some point, because so many people were praising it. I don't remember anything specific about it except not liking it and really not liking her, which is enough for me.

I can see the show not being to your taste and not liking the character of Sarah Manning, who doesn't make a good first impression. But I can't see anyone finding fault in Maslany's performance.

Get your history straight. Producer Kenneth Johnson did not "hate" the Hulk character; Frank Price--then the head of Universal's TV division--obtained the rights to adapt a number of Marvel characters, but Johnson--when first offered the character--correctly feared superhero concepts, because up to that that time, the spectre of the 1966-68 Batman TV series was the way most of the world viewed superheroes, which was anything except good. Once he knew he could adapt it in a serious manner, his changes made the series possible, mature and a success. As for Stan Lee and/or Marvel "putting their foot down," they had little influence or control over the series. Factually, Stan Lee's "consultant" title was more honorary than anything else.

Sooooo ONE episode of Orphan Black? Was it one where more than one clone is in the same scene?

If you saw the episode with Tony, i could see why you could have written her off. But really, just one episode won't give you an accurate sense of her acting... especially if not contrasted between the different characters? ANd Sarah Manning might be be the "blandest" of the characters, so she by herself wouldn't be the best measure of Tatiana's acting.

This would be like measuring CHadwick Boseman's acting by one movie. Even the bad movie Gods of Egypt...when you contrast his acting their with other movies, you can see how deep his range is. But juding it just by God's of Eygpt, you would have a different assessment

Natalie Portman sucked in The Phantom Menace so therefore she's a crappy actor who should never embarrass herself by stepping foot in front of a camera ever again.

Honestly, after rewatching it recently, she was one of the few good things about the movie. Attack of the Clones on the other hand (but that wasn't her fault).

But your larger point is dead on.

Pickle Rick is one of the most popular and acclaimed episodes of the entire series. It won the show both an Annie and Emmy. And judging by the amount of Pickle Rick figures, Funko Pops, shirts, ect. I've seen, it appears to have been very popular with the fans too.
While Gao only had the one writing credit, she was the story editor for part of that season, and after that she was the executive producer and writer for a streaming show called Take My Wife, and she also wrote her own pilot that wasn't picked up.

If you don't want to watch Orphan Black and want to give her another shot, Perry Mason seemed to get a pretty good reception, and I've been enjoying Heartland and would wholeheartedly recommend it. She doesn't show up until the second season, but it's good enough that going through the first season to get to her isn't a problem.
And since you brought the different opinions again, I'm just going to say once again, that it is not your opinions that bothers people, it's the attitude you take, and the way you say it that bothers people. I really do think it would be a good idea for you to try toning down how nasty you get about stuff. If you were just nicer about it, people wouldn't have much of a problem with what you're saying.

It looks like Marvel is going to have a lot to brag about when they start promoting The Eternals. It's director Chloe Zhao has become the first woman to ever win the Palm Springs International Film Festival's Director of the Year Award for her new movie Nomadland, and the movie has already gotten big awards at the Venice and Toronto Film festivals, and is expected to take away the big Oscars this year too.

More and more rumors about actors from other Spider-Man movies showing up in Homecoming 3 keep popping up. So I was wondering, which cast members do we know for sure are definitely going to be in the movie?

I don't believe that Marvel has yet to make a single formal announcement on the subject.
