Comedian Ginger Gonzalez has joined the cast of She-Hulk as Jen's best friend.

So IIRC, wasn't Jennifer's best friend in the comics Patsy aka. "Hellcat"...who Netflix made Jessica Jones' best friend/sister because her friends in the comics was Carol Danvers and they couldn't use her...it's like female superhero best friend musical chairs! So, who's left for Gonzalez to play? I'm assuming an original character?

Perhaps an updated, in name only, version of Louise Mason?

As much as I don't like the show and will refuse to watch it, I did kind of think that this might be the character when reading the news, except no one working on this show has probably ever read a She-Hulk comic, and definitely not one older then maybe Charles Soule's run.

Instead, I thought about her being the MCU version of Mary MacPherran aka Titania (with a race change, obviously), who will start out as a friend and then go full rival/supervillain. But I doubt anything like that would fit on the show, and again I doubt anyone involved knows about characters like Titania, but I could see it happening in a better show.

Sometimes I wish I could know so much about a show before they've even started filming. Did you talk to Jessica Gao or the writers, or maybe get your hands on some scripts or something?

He's like Tony Stark. He's the futurist! He sees all! Knows all!

I've said it before, but I can repeat it as much as people want. Shitty showrunner + shitty casting never equals a good show, and this one has pretty much the worst of each. Whoever decided to hire the worst writer to ever work on Rick & Morty and combine them with a shitty actress who also doesn't fit the character in any way (and is a shitty actor, regardless of how many meaningless awards she may have gotten) really hates the character of She-Hulk.

Its like how the guy who produced the old Incredible Hulk show actively hated the character of the Hulk, so he changed Bruce Banner to David Banner, adapted none of the comic book elements (outside of the Hulk form) or supporting cast of the comic, and even tried to change Hulk to a red hulk until Stan Lee/Marvel put their foot down. The MCU TV division is obviously just as prone to shit as it was under Loeb, probably because the main MCU people don't want to waste time on shows when they're working the movies.

I don't know much about the showrunner, but you idea of who constitutes a "shitty actress" continues to baffle me.
Indeed. I might have missed it but has @kirk55555 ever seen Orphan Black? Well, i mean watching an individal episode here and there might not help, but seeing a number of episodes, as @Christopher has mentioned before, you sometimes forget that the female clones are all played by the same actress. (The one misfire seemed to be Tony)

I will say this ... has Tatiana been in anything major since Orphan Black. I saw her in a Boston Boming movie, but they sure did NOT use her acting talents very well.

Perry Mason I guess. (Seen her in the trailers, but not seen the show). I've seen a couple of other things that she was in, but both pre Orphan Black.

She was riveting in Perry Mason, where she got praise for her performance from fans and critics alike.

Of course, that's all irrelevant because kirk has already made his judgment and that's all that matters. ;)
