Wonder Woman 2 Anticipation Thread

Aren't most cinemas outside the big us cities open? Do people just not go because of the pandemic? I didn't think we had that much sense here...

All movie theaters here in Washington state are closed due to order by the governor. The restrictions were supposed to be lifted this week but numbers keep spiking, so I suspect they'll stay closed through the end of the year and possibly beyond.
And since the vaccine won't be widely available to the general public until summer/fall 2021, I don't expect to go back into a movie theater until 2022 at the earliest; if movie theaters are even operating by then.

Well yeah, I'm not going to go to one, but I'm not attending NFL games either. Doesn't seem like people in at least half of the united States care much.

Whatculture.com spilled the beans on the movie’s post-credits scene.

It involves Diana meeting Asteria, the original owner of the golden armor.

And yes, that owner is played by exactly who you think she is.

The ones near me are open, and if the movie wasn't on HBO Max, I'd go. But since I can watch it at home, I'm not going to take the chance. I did go to the theater to see Tenet, but that was because that was the only option.

If it is who i think it is, THAT would be one of those scenes that a full theater would have been awesome (kinda like the cheers that erupted when WOnder WOman appeared & her theme played during B v. S in the battle against Doomsday.)

the opening scene looks great, lookin forward to this movie.

COVID is probably not an issue (in the PRC) given the draconian steps the central government has taken to stamp it out.

Note that two biggest movies this year in the PRC came out in October and earned 422 and 161 million respectively so WW doing the numbers it did in 2017 is entirely possible. It's more likely just lack of interest from the audience (and probably the increasing tensions from the new Cold War between the PRC/USA) more than anything.

Well, maybe the first about the invisible part, but we've known a long time in the trailers they were flying a plane, in the midst of fireworks, in a moment of relative peace.

Now, the real question -- will we see a hand band that turns into a boomarang?
We will

Oh yeah, it's been obvious from the first time we saw that shot they were in some kind of fighter jet or something, it just never occurred to me it would be the invisible jet. I wonder what their origin for it will be hear, since I doubt it will have come from Themyscira?

Yeah. That is the question. I've honestly never liked the invisible jet idea. I mean, how did she build it? Who built it? Where does she keep it? I guess those questions will be hopefully answered in the movie, but it's still kind of too campy for me.

Plus, Diana's purposely kept a low profile all these years, supposedly keeping her powers a secret and not fighting crime (except in a mall, apparently), so why does she need an invisible jet?

The Invisible Jet. Sorry, but Diana facing a power loss due to Steve being around, then suddenly remembering she can sort of turn things invisible, except she's only done it once, executes it perfectly and it lasts for multiple trips and then never does it again, it just feels cheap.

We already have in one of the trailers. :)

Um, to keep her powers a secret?

To me it feels like part of the plot.
