So I love Voyager and watch it daily, I’m watching this ep now, the voyager conspiracy (seen it many times) and one thing always bugged me. Maybe I missed something but when Seven isolated part of the image of the Array on the screen in astrometrics and discovered what looks to clearly be a tractor beam why didn’t she show this image to chakotay or the captain or Tuvok??? She looks at it then doesn’t show this piece of evidence to anyone else. It would’ve supported her theory of a another ship in the area at the time of the destruction of the Array. Any response or explanation is much appreciated! Thx!

My mistake she did show chakotay and the captain the main image, but neither acknowledge the tractor beam or where it came from.....

yeah I agree it's weird. WE see what they see...a tractor beam that grabs the core. But it's never made mention or mused about afterwards. Was it all a lie?

Exactly! Bugs me lol. There is clear evidence of a tractor beam! Who was it and where did it come from?

It was also never explained why they had tricobalt weapons

Perhaps that's exactly the genius of the episode, all characters are relieved this bout of Seven paranoia is over but those loose threads still bother the attentive viewer :)

Or, of course it could simply be sloppy writing.

I always wondered about that too. What was going on there? would be interesting to see it picked up in a novel or episode. Maybe it went to the Mirror Universe? Part of the Temporal War?

Considering how far gone Seven was, odds are that she just plain fabricated that evidence when her logic required the evidence to exist. Par for the course for conspiracy theories and theorists.

Ahh that’s an interesting possibility, seven may not even have realized

Seriously though .... were these loose ends simply overlooked by the writers (e.g. that tractor beam), or were they ever intended as a future hook to base a possible later episode on?

Many people like to summarize this episode as Seven gathering too much data and not being able to make heads or tails of it. But certain things still leave me questioning things. Why was Voyager carrying Tricobalt Devices? Chakotay said they weren't normally carried on Federation vessels at least not in 2371. Was that Cardassian Vessel Gul Eveks ship? Was it destroyed or did it also have to make the Trek back to the Alpha Quadrant like Voyager and the Equinox and could this also be why Caretaker was the last appearance of Evek.

About the Voyager Conspiracy? What if Janeway was ordered to the Delta Quadrant.

How would they even have known about the Caretaker in order to arrange transport? And if they did, why wouldn't Starfleet put in measures to better protect the crew? Also why wouldn't Starfleet choose a better ship for such a mission, like a Galaxy-Class?

Which theory exactly? After all, she 'improves' upon it a few times....(1) The one she rattles of to Chakotay to establish a Cardassian-Federation military alliance in the Delta Quadrant? (2) The one she tells Janeway about Chakotay trying to resurrect the Maquis? Or (3) the one she explains in the shuttle, near the end, where the ultimate goal is to secure Seven's body to return to Federation space to allow Starfleet to gather tactical data to fight the Borg? Given the opening post I'd assume it's either (1) or (3).
