Bring on Daniels with an explanation. :)

Time travel technology still existed until the 31st century, which just happens to be at almost the exact same time The Burn happened. The outlawing of technology as well as The Burn could have happened - from Daniels' perspective - not long after his last encounter with Archer.
I don’t think Daniels existed in this future timeline.

That was damn good.

I think the temporal war was definitely referring to TCW on ENT.

The worm creature seemed to be a cross between Lovecraft's Cthulhu and a Dune sandworm.

I was looking to see if Michelle Yeoh would be listed as a regular cast member but she was not. So she will probably be listed as a guest star on episodes she is in.

Bryan Fuller is still listed as Executive consultant. I wonder if that is an honorary title or he is actually consulting.

Completely different vibe and I liked it.........can't wait to see where they take us! I would give it an 8 if the poll was open.

Michael being funnier and more emotive is something I hope they continue to develop. Within reason, naturally. Vulcanesque Michael can get tiresome but wacky verbal diarrhea Michael could get just as annoying and fast.

Thinking that's probably just a contractual title given to him after his departure.

Interestingly, John Ottman is listed as a consulting producer this season. He was the editor and composer on most of Bryan Singer's films including the X-Men movies. Was surprised to see his name show up.

Just finished the episode, it was amazing. As we all know, the third season makes or breaks a Star Trek show and so far, I think DIscovery S3 has turned out great.

Very chonky cat.

Tell me comrade, how does dilithium just decide to go boom?
I mean, how do you think Grudge got that chonky?

I agree. I really enjoyed seeing Michael act more lighthearted. Sonequa has a cute smile.

Now I want a series about the federation dealing with the burn bad it’s after effects.
Honestly, I could see them do a show like this.

SMG was outstanding.

Everything else was just meh. Didn't really care for the Star Wars/Blade Runner kitbash setpiece.

Booker is a bore.

It looked good, though.

I liked this episode, didn't love it but it did show some real promise. I liked the fact that even the fx action scenes weren't quite as kinetic as Discovery was in its first and last episode of last year. The great location shots and panoramas were lovely and really gave this episode a much calmer pace (for the most part minus two larger scenes) then what we normally see in Discovery. Book is a very solid addition to this season. Loved the hope and optimism of the episode, even for situations that seem somewhat bleak.

Really my only real complaints (and one is quite minor) is I thought the escape scene was just a little too long, and I really didn't care for the look of the Andorians? Is it just me or did their prosthetics look less realistic then previously. Or was it simply the makeup shade, it just really distracted me every time they were on screen (again this is a minor quibble< but it did annoy me).

The only ways I can think of that happening is a powerful being that is on the level of 'Q' decides to start messing about.

There are only so many Super Powerful beings like 'Q' that can pull these type of shenanigans.

The Andorian makeup on DSC is the best visual reimagining makeup for a TOS Era species but I'm no fan of the excessively bony cheeks and those weird wrinkles or ridges on their facial skin. They did get rid of the stupid auto-tuned voices from the first two seasons so that's a huge improvement. The ENT Andorian makeup is still the best.

Absolutely brilliant. I’m sure some people will try their very best to hate it, but I think it must be getting harder and harder for them.

Michael was excellent, I like Booker, I liked the visuals, I loved the final sequence where the guy was so dedicated to the Federation. In fact, I welled up. That’s a 9/10 from me. Seriously exceptional stuff.
