2020 titles announced

Ha-ha. youngtrek walked into that one

In his defense, I hear the moderators at memory-beta aren't the easiest to work with, so that may account for the lack of updates there. If you volunteer your time and someone is giving you a hard time you're probably not inclined to volunteer your time any more.

I haven't had too much trouble there, but my to-read pile is huge. My latest course finishes in eight weeks. Maybe then I can do some more.

Memory Omega - Last update was 24th June 2020.
I think it's probably back to just one person working on it. I was working on it with him for a while, but I got sidetracked and haven't updated or adding any pages in several months. I need to back it sometime. When I left off I had added or updated pages for the DS9 Relaunch, Titan, and Vanguards books.

Herocollector has two little hardcover books by Glenn Dakin, due November 3:

* "Mr Spock's Little Book Of Mindfulness"
"In a universe that seems to have gone mad, we turn to mindfulness to restore sanity. And who better to teach us wisdom than Mr. Spock, that beacon of calm, rational thought. With quotes from 'Star Trek' and timely insights about modern life this book will be your guide. When humanity has lost its way, it takes a Vulcan to raise an eyebrow at our folly and lead us towards the truth. After all, it's only logical." Illustrated by Glenn Dakin.

* "Star Trek Cocktails"
Including McCoy's Mint Julep and Picard's Early(?) Grey Martini. Illustrated by Adrian Salmon.

And has this Chip Carter book been mentioned yet?
* "Star Trek: The Wisdom of Picard". Coming November 2020:

Unless Beagle gets the full rights and manuscripts for his book back from Cochran, though, we won’t ever see anyone’s version of Writing Sarek from File 770:
Some updated news on Writing Sarek:

I wonder if Peter Beagle has any interest in completing the Writing Sarek book he was supposedly writing for Conlan Press.

There was never any Writing Sarek book. It was a scam by Connor. No more than an outline ever existed. He even sold copies of the book to folks who never got a copy of it. Nor got their money back.

Let me correct my previous comment. Connor sold non-existent copies of that book to individuals. He was very, very good at doing that. It was hardly the only thing of Peter’s that he said existed that didn’t’ as he claimed Peter had whole novels written that hadn’t been so written. (He touted these novels at some Cons.) And then tried to claim co-authorship on them.

Hardly the worse thing that Connor did as he retroactively claimed authorship on Peter’s older works as well, a claim the Court very quickly rejected.

Interesting but not entirely surprising. Yeah, I paid US$33.25 on August 18, 2005. I was 42, married instead of widowed, had a different job, a different cat. Hell, I was still doing the Complete Starfleet Library website. Boy, that was a different world.

I’m pretty sure Connor got money out of me as well, but it was a long time ago, and I don’t remember clearly.
