Thanks for posting the Jonathan Frakes Interview I sure hope they can start filming it in January. I'm glad Frakes will be directing Picard season 2 shows again.I definately want to see more of the Riker-Troi family too. I really liked the actress who played their daughter Kestra.

Goldsman notes that having the multiple Rioses wasn’t part of the original plan: it all came from the fact that Cabrera “likes to do accents and he likes to do different characters.”

“So as he started talking to us and we kept seeing these different versions of him,” Goldsman continues, “we started to think to ourselves, well, why should we be the only ones to see these different versions of him? And so began the various iterations of the emergency holos.”

The headline kind of gives that impression, but when you watch the actual interview, they say that what actually happened was, Cabrera initially offered a few different options for how he might play Rios, and the writers liked what he did so much that they developed the multiple holos concept for him, rather than him having the idea and suggesting it to them.

His reply about the change of showrunners is very short... Of course I guess he can't judge the new one before flming, but it sounds like he'll miss Chabon.

OK I am shaking my head. Picard isn't that interesting as a show.
I wonder if things improve in season 2 because season 1 bloody sucks.

Where the hell is Starfleet security or Section 31 when bad guys can so easily infiltrate Starfleet at top positions and cause mayhem like having murder death squads killing people on Earth of all places in the open? Their security really sucks donkey balls.

Borg cube used as research station, they ran out of ideas for plot

the borg stuff was pretty much to get trailer material since the plot was so fucking thin and boring and yes 7of9 was pretty much the only highlight of the show along with the rikers

Been bad for a while, where even the Vulcans are fooled enough to have a spy as their ambassador.

Hot android girl dies was a major plot point in "Requiem for Methuselah(TOS)" so that in and of itself isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's all in how the android girl dying is written and how was she used before said death?

Tight security makes for lousy drama. Tight security mean no Trouble With Tribbles or Data's Day.
