Well, okay, I do remember that but I ignored that because it wasn't fair to judge him for two shitty films. There was definite pushback against Evans. Mainly because he was the Human Torch in the Fox FF movies. But it wasn't quite as widespread because folks also didn't think that Cap could be done well on screen at all either.

The one I remember people bringing up the most was 'A Knight's Tale'. No clue why, I never did watch it.
Here's hoping Jaguar makes it into the MCU...if only as a meta in-joke like those fake Nathan Fillion movies from Guardians 2.I've only recently got into it and I have to agree. I actually made a point to watch the "Pickle Rick" episode, as that's the Emmy winning episode written by She-Hulk showrunner Jessica Gao, and it had me in tears.
At the time I think I'd genuinely forgotten those films even existed. And I think I did so again until literally just now. They're forgettable like that...at least I think they are. Can't really recall.Well, okay, I do remember that but I ignored that because it wasn't fair to judge him for two shitty films.
Right!?Not sure I even recalled Evans was in that FF film when he was announced.
Paul Bettany's Chaucer stole the show !It's a great movie (very definitely in a non-serious way).
Based on how they've destroyed She-Hulk, even worse then the comics have, I have no faith in those shows being any good.
Casting a respected award winning actress in the lead role must be a sure sign of destruction then.
You can't possibly know they've 'destroyed' She-Hulk. Not only is there nowhere near enough information out there to even start to form an opinion (unless to succeed it has to conform to your smallest expectation) you can't know until you've actually seen it, or at least some of it.Oh! He's also upset that an Emmy award-winning writer for Rick and Morty is the showrunner, because apparently Rick and Morty is the worst animated show on the air right now.
She's not my mind's eye casting but if she's a decent actress - who knows ?
As I said, I'd never heard of her, so I really can't say."Decent," huh? She starred for five years in a series where she played numerous different clones with completely distinct personalities, and you frequently forgot that they were played by the same person. She's gotten 40 award nominations and won more than half of them.
Heath Ledger proved to everyone that complaining about casting, however unconventional it may seem, is a fruitless endeavor. Most people, myself included, were very wrong about his casting. Anyone who throws out the whole production based on a single casting is just silly.
And to be 100% clear: Tatiana Maslany is not even unconventional casting for precisely the reasons Nerys Myk and Anwar already stated.
Too reasonable, just like it is also too reasonable to not assume that people making movies might have a different approach than people making comics. Also, assuming a character being "destroyed" is just hyperbole that makes no sense. You can't possibly know they've 'destroyed' She-Hulk. I've never heard of the actress, I've never seen Rick & Morty.
She's not my mind's eye casting but if she's a decent actress - who knows ? My dislike of animated shows certainly doesn't mean I'll dislike another show by the same creatives.
Let's just wait and see...
So I like Mariko Tamaki's run a lot. I think it has a very beautiful, somber tone. It explores themes of anxiety and depression wonderfully. But it's not a funny story, that's for sure. There's some meta stuff in the final arc as She-Hulk recovers from depression.
You really should check out Orphan Black, which is Tatiana Maslany's big breakout role, and Rick & Morty, they are both phenomenal shows. And as a side not Maslany's pretty good on Heartland too.I've never heard of the actress, I've never seen Rick & Morty.
I thought that Heath Ledger was mediocre and overrated, he'd be the worst Joker if not for Leto and Phoenix coming along after him and being worse. Part of that is being written badly (the Joker doesn't have a philosophy, but Nolan hates comics so didn't care), but his acting was just ok, even with good material I think he would have been unimpressive as Joker.
Tatiana Maslany is a horrible choice for She-Hulk in almost every way possible. I mean, maybe they could do worse if they hired someone who had no acting experience at all, but as it is between her casting and the worst writer Rick & Morty ever had running the show, my favorite Marvel hero is absolutely fucked in live action.
Perhaps you could list these "ways"?Tatiana Maslany is a horrible choice for She-Hulk in almost every way possible.
