Absolutely nothing. This is a case of complaining just for the sake of complaining, for attention.

Simple. The screentime was shorter. The Prometheus bridge is not comparable given the large amount of time spent on the bridge in that episode.

There was zero, emphasis on zero, reason to build a new bridge for a brief shot.

See, what is happening is that real world pragmatism is getting in the way of fan fantasy. Instead, we have what the TOS movies did, and countless redressings of sets, and matte paintings used. Despite being 2020 productions still have that nasty thing called time and budget restrictions.

A disembodied green hand, the floating Lincoln Memorial in space, the giant space amoeba, the paper-mache planet-eater, the space jellyfish, and the space slug all want a word with you. The space flowers were classic Trek.

    1) There were important scenes that had to take place on the Enterprise and could not be shot as just guy-in-front-of-viewscreen. Not so with Riker on the Zheng He.

    2) They were probably also amortizing the cost of building the Enterprise bridge for the new series. No one is pushing for a Star Trek: Zheng He series.

They did not. It was a redress of an existing bridge, as others have noted, which was what Berman-era Trek did all the time to save money.

Is that why you waited over half a year to bitch about it?

You want them to spend shit-tones of money and staff-hours designing, building, and shooting an entirely new bridge for two thirty-second shots?

If you think this in earnest, then you should never, ever be placed in charge of a major project's budget. You clearly don't know how to prioritize expenditures.

Then stop watching it and stop complaining about it.

If Star Trek: Picard fed the homeless, would you congratulate it or would you complain it's undercutting the American restaurant industry?

I bet this thread is still active and cycling through the same exact stuff by the time Season 2 premieres.

And take into account how long the delay will be thanks to Covid. We probably won't be getting anything new for Picard until at least the end of '21. ;)

this is a production quality thread. Instead of debating about what I think tell me the production things you think are high quality. I might agree.

I’m not interested in your opinion, or engaging you in further conversation. I think the thread has run its course.

So nothing in the production of the show you think is high quality. How about the chateau?

I'm having trouble understanding why anyone bothers to engage with Pubert at this point. Can someone enlighten me?

You’ll have to ask that question in TNZ or in a PM, as we’re not supposed to talk about posters in the regular forum. So let’s not go there here.

why would I complain if it was good? I love TNG. So if it was like TNG I would be totally fine with it.

See, you're typing words, but it's like they're organized in a way that doesn't make sense...
