Spoilers The Mandalorian | Disney+ | Streaming Nov. 12

Even if Dyn is somewhat more well informed, that's a long way from 1) believing this is a real person 2) knowing where the hell he's gotten to in the last half decade. Or 3) FINDING him.
He also appears to be extremely reluctant to seek them out anyway.

We Mandalore has a very different view of the Jedi since they fought them on more than one occasion. However there was a Mandalorean Jedi, who crafted the Dark Saber....which was eventually stolen from the Jedi Temple and used as a symbol of House Visla for generations, and was able to unite Mandalore at some point. What its doing in an Imperial Moff's hands is unclear.

Well there's Mandalorians and then there's Mandalorians. Dyn's only source of information is what all signs indicate is the last remnants of the Death Watch. That's a very drastically skewed perspective by even most other Mandalorians' standards.

OK, that last part was a mental image I really didn't need in my head.
Speaking of Banthas, I wonder if the one in the Season 2 trailer is an elephant like in A New Hope, or just CGI? Or maybe a combination of the two, like the orbaks in The Rise of Skywalker? I couldn't really tell for sure when I watched the trailer.
Assuming that shot was done in the volume, I'd guess that Bantha was a static set piece with a puppeteered head. The only reason they used an elephant in ANH was because they were out on a location and they needed the thing to be able to walk. Neither of which seem to apply here.

Given how well they had Baby Yoda on lockdown last year, I seriously doubt they're going to blow the live action reveal of THE most popular non-movie character on a merch packaging preview.
Doubly so considering they already have plenty of keyart for the character from two animated shows, plus several quasi-live action looking pieces already used in certain products and games.

According to a quote in the article accompanying the video, before working on The Mandalorian, they hadn't done motion control shoots in 15 years.
Pretty much. Though most will be surprised it's as recent as that since there's a misconception that the prequels were 100% CG. In reality they used a TON of model work; way more than even the original movies.

Not sure what the actual last movie they used it on was though. Could have been RotS, could have been one of the Harry Potters or the later Pirates movies, or Spielberg's War of the Worlds.

It's the green screens throwing everyone off, often the stuff being composited behind the actors are models, but everyone assumes it's CGI, because the compositing is done in the computer.

So no helmet laws on this planet I see. He flies that thing here on earth he would likely at best get a ticket for letting Baby Yoda ride without one and considering Baby Yoda is a small child were talking possible DHS visits once they see how dangerous of a position he has him in on that bike.
