Your latest purchases, cont.

Sliders season 3 on dvd.

I'd been keeping tabs on the Amazon and eBay listings. For a while, I couldn't find a new copy for sale. The only copies were preowned and/or unavailable in my dvd region. So, I'm happy that I've purchased one now that's brand new and playable.

Weirdly, it's approaching the 24th anniversary that season 3 first aired. (20th September 1996.) For fun, I'm gonna watch the episodes on their original broadcast date.

Just when you think that there is nothing new to discover amongst the old Star Trek stuff from the early years, something comes along that takes you a bit by surprise.

This is an 'error' that I have not seen before. It reminds me of the theory circulating around that NASA has been manipulating images of Mars and that the sky is actually blue. :D

To be an unusual variant and to have survived all these years in such nice condition....yeah, for $10.45, I had to have it.

Turns out this is actually a case of fading from sun exposure. It's quite an amazing process that the UV from the sun strips away the yellow from the green, leaving the blue....at least for a while. Here is another copy in which the fade is more uniform, being that the whole was exposed, not just a narrow strip:

^Oops!

Me: 28 bucks worth of spices at Penzey's. It was free shipping day, so I took advantage of the chance to stock up.

I can't get out to buy anything

I take it that Amazon doesn't deliver in your area? Hubby and I have living off of Amazon lately. It's kept me sane (ish) and at home, so it's been a blessing. Can send birthday gifts to friends and family and never leave the house.

Yes, I have access to Amazon but there isn't anything urgent that I need from them.
I bought provisions for two weeks at the start of my quarantine, and I'm almost running out, but I'll last till Monday.
Then I might treat myself.

Amazon, and WalMart to deliver our groceries here.
Do you ever have trouble with repeat ordering at your Walmart? I ask because a couple of months ago I ordered some groceries from mine, and everything was fine (minus some unwanted substitutions), and then two weeks later, attempted to order some of the same food again, only to have the website say "in store purchase only" and this hasn't changed. I called them, but that was no help.

No issues on our end. We have a pretty consistent orders from week to week.
