I see no reason to treat the USS KELVIN as a non-Prime Timeline ship. I think it transitions rather nicely from ENT to KELVIN to DISCO.
IIRC, it had to do with people from after 2233 travelling into the past and triggering subtle changes that eventually manifest into a different 2233.Plus, Pegg has never convinced me of his logic. Why would the timeline change both ways just because Nero went back to 2233?

But if the timeline had already changed prior to 2233, then the whole premise of the movie is pointless. The reason why the Kelvin timeline exists was so that the scriptwriters didn’t have to worry about continuity with the prime universe. But if the ‘prime’ universe no longer exists or was replaced by something else, then there was no reason to create the alternate universe in the first place.
The intent was clearly that Spock Prime came from the same, unaltered universe of TOS, TNG, DS9, and VOY.
I would love to see an episode entirely dedicated to the recurring background characters such as the Vulcan, the blonde woman, the Andorian engineer, etc.Jennifer was just an adlib by Tawny last week, but I have a feeling that she's going to be the next Miles O'Brien and a major character by 2030 in an LD spinoff.
Mind you, there's no real problem if Spock and company just wandered into an alternate universe.
Then Spock would not feel the need to withhold information about his universe.
That would be funny since that was the very point if this show.I would love to see an episode entirely dedicated to the recurring background characters such as the Vulcan, the blonde woman, the Andorian engineer, etc.
The Lower Lower decksThat would be funny since that was the very point if this show.
Or The Lowest DecksThe Lower Lower decks
Or The Lowest Decks
I want the Crewmen to show up in just one episode (let's call it "Below Decks") as some sort of rarely seen underclass that even our heroes treat with a little bit of contempt.
