How about you provide where it is stated that the only time Vulcans have sex is during Ponn Farr? I know the shows pretty well, and there isn’t.

People have strong opinions here about Last Best Hope and PIC Countdown not being canon at all, having no relevance whatsoever, even though they're official tie-in stories with Una McCormack and Kirsten Beyer involved. Why then would DC Fontana have more weight concerning off-screen material?

The Last Best Hope was the Picard series prequel novel. Very good book that was far more interesting than the first season.
