Justice League official "Zack Snyder" cut on HBO Max

Wow, that trailer was very...Snyder. I thought that Whedon's JL was tolerable, and it will certainly be seen in a better light by general audience once this shit comes out (the rabid Snyder fans will of course love the Snyder cut, because they're basically a cult at this point).

It seems the Snyder Cut version of Steppenwolf is based on the cut (and I guess reintroduced in the 'ultimate edition') scene from BvS where Luthor is arrested. The Steppenwolf in that scene doesn't even look remotely human, so this new Steppenwolf CGI follows from that version.

So, since the leaked versions have been taken down, here's the Teaser from the official HBO Max channel:

JL Snyder Cut will be released like a Miniseries. 4 episodes of 60 mins leading to a 4 hour journey.

I love this bit - Henry Cavill's lip will look totally normal for all 4 hours, which should come as relief. :rommie:

Looking good. Shame it’s been split into 4 parts

They might come out one week after the other to extend a few nerds' subscriptions who would otherwise wander off, rather than re-up.

But if Justice League is pay per view?

7 dollars each, but all dropped on the same day?

3 months later, a cut of the 4 episodes as a movie will drop for another 7 dollars, which is almost the same but with 3 minutes of extra footage to bridge the episodes. Although if the pay per views are still staggered, that would mean that the king nerds might watch all the earlier episodes many times waiting for each new installment.

I'm rewatching Stichers, and there's two nerds in love who say this at the height of their romance...

"She likes the Avengers Movies and I like the Justice League Movies, but somehow we make it work."

They didn't make it work.

Their love was doomed.

He cheated, because he is trash, but we already new that.

Very excited to see this official chapter of the DCEU. Even the trailer proves the eternal truth of never letting someone else distort an original vision, and that was all too apparent with the horrible Whedon League disaster.

I think the vision was already distorted by studio interference even before whedon though.

I watch LOTR only in Extended form so i'm fine with a near 4 hour entire movie if it's good ;)
That's the key part there. ;)

I still haven't bothered watching Justice League as it is. Haven't been bored enough yet (and that's after six months of quarantine!). Meh.

Whedon's JL is better then any movie Snyder has ever made (that doesn't make it good, but its certainly better in literally every way then any of Snyders films). Also, Whedon's film is officially the canon version, with Aquaman, Shazam, WW84, their sequels, etc not taking anything from Snyder's Cut, and the DCEU, whatever it becomes, won't be using Snyder's style anymore or picking up any plot threads from it.

Its fine to be excited and to enjoy it more then Whedon's version if thats your preference, but its literally meaningless to the future of DC's film division. Its just an expensive publicity stunt to drive more viewers to HBO MAX, its in no way a replacement for the real JL film.
