Given Seven of Nine played a large role in several episodes and Icheb returned for a cameo, do you think we'll see anyone else crossover to Picard? Clearly the focus should be on Picard, Seven, and the new characters. With only 10 episodes for Season 2 presumably, screen time is precious. Is there anyone you feel would work on Picard? Full on guest star or just a cameo? Do you think we will see Voyager or the Delta Flyer?

Given the Chakotay/Seven romantic subplot of Voyager's finale, I feel like we should see Chakotay on Picard, even if it's just a viewscreen cameo like the Janeway cameo in Nemesis. Given Janeway's Admiralty and friendship with Picard, I'd love to see Mulgrew return for in a recurring role. Imagine Picard has that one Admiral he goes to for help now ans then, Janeway. I can't think of a reason for anyone else to pop up. Isn't there a rumor Robert Picardo may return as the Doctor? With all the AI stuff, he'd blend in naturally. As heavy as the show is, Picardo has to being in the Doctor's massive ego and tallent for irritating people. lol

Nah. I think Season One demonstrated that Seven works perfectly well as a character without any of the other Voyager people. She has led an interesting and eventful life over the last 21 years. Let’s meet some of the Fenris Rangers, let’s meet some of the criminals she’s fought in the Neutral zone. No need to return to the Voyager well; it would narrow Seven’s experiences.

Robert Picardo has confirmed that he wasn’t asked to appear in Season Two. And gawd no, we do not need to waste time with a Chakotay appearance. One of Trek’s most crushingly dull characters; there are a thousand better ways to use up screen time.

Chakotay was pretty cool in the early seasons. I don't know when it happened, but he went from a gutsy man who through caution to the wind to Janeway's yes man who was just.... there. Now, if Robert Beltran were to return as an older Chakotay, grey hair, and a "screw it" attitude, that could be fun to see.

Just one episode where he returns to play hero as a favor to Seven. If done right, would it be that bad? Would the overall idea of Chalotay not blend in with the tone of Picard?

Nope, I’d hate it. We do not need to waste Seven’s screen time to account for what happened to some dull guy that she briefly dated TWENTY-ONE YEARS AGO. Seven has the xBs to take care of. Seven has fifteen years worth of history in the Neutral Zone. These are all fascinating narrative seams to mine. The long-ago ex-girlfriend of one of Trek’s most wooden characters? Nuh-uh, Seven deserves better than that.

I personally had no interest in seeing 7of9 or Icheb, so I could care less about seeing any other characters from VOY.

I agree. I think Seven's inclusion was unnecessary at best. But, I mean if VOY cameos happen having Admiral
Janeway who has history with Picard is slightly better than my usual ambivalence to cameos and VOY in general.

Since Seven felt extremely disconnected from her own character it would be great to get some old Voyager character to interact with that and maybe have some conflict. Chakotay would be great.

I'd rather see characters with connections to Jean-Luc Picard on Star Trek Picard. Now if they were to give Seven and her Rangers the spin-off that I really want them to get, then sure, bring in Chakotay for an episode. Why not?

If they make a Fenris Rangers show, then they'd probably want to populate it with actual compelling, interesting characters.

And sorry to keep harping on about this, but Seven briefly dated Chakotay twenty-fricking-one years ago. If you deliberately bring back one of Star Trek's dullest, most half-assed characters JUST SO that you can explain how his horribly-conceived romance with a far-more interesting female character ended TWO DECADES EARLIER, then you are essentially saying that female character has no worth beyond being a man's romantic interest.

Picard has shown that Seven has immense potential as a character. Let her lead the xBs, let her deal with the Fenris Rangers, let her date Raffi, and keep the Voyager crew away from her. They're history.

I wouldn't mind Janeway or other people that were important to Seven back then if it fit the story. The Doctor, Tuvok, Naomi. (Yeah, not the most interesting character, but crucial for Seven's development.) I don't count that shoehorned-in thing with Chakotay. If I thought he was an interesting character... but I don't. Voyager WAS her first real family, no matter if they always treated her right. However, they apparently are already aiming to fit in everyone from TNG into what many assume to be only 2 more seasons and I'm weary that it will take away from the story (whatever that may be) and from character deverlopment for our current crew, including Seven and even, in some ways, Picard.

As for Seven having enough to do with the xB, yeah, I wish. I suspect they only had that plotline for nice Borg cube shots and epic imagery. Killing hundreds of them and and showing them anonymously float in space made that pretty clear to me. Plus apparently the surviving xBs, mentally and physically scarred, now live happily ever after with the Coppelius commune of beautiful young New Age people. 'Cause they're both omewhat synth and have so much in common. I would appreciate a continuation of the xB storyline (NOT a Borg/ Borg origin storyline) but don't think we'll get it.

Agreed. Only if it fit the story... otherwise I have no interest in a cameo appearance simply to get a rise form the fans of VOY (or TNG for that matter). There is a pretty big gap missing from Seven's development that even a partial episode with the backstory would work well I think, esp. with the return of, say, Janeway or the EMH, in particular.

I agree on no Chakotay and I actually liked him on VOY, for the most part. His inclusion here would likely be awkward at best.

There's going to be a four part Voyager IDW comic about Seven of Nine that gives us the backstory about what happens to her before we see her appearing in Star Trek Picard, Trekmovie has a picture of the cover on their twitter page. It's Janeway and Seven.Book 1 comes out in November.

Is that this comic? Because from what I gather it takes place during Voyager's original run, unless Voyager returns to the Delta Quadrant between VGR and PIC.

    Chakotay : no
    Janeway: yes
Tuvok: no unless they have a good reason.
Kim: not unless he's an admiral. Been in for 28 years in 2399 so come on!
    Blana: nope
    Tom: Nope
Mirel: Yes! she'd be 21-22 so in the academy or an ensign.
Naomi: Yes! She'd be 30 ish so a Lt. or Lt. Cmd somewhere maybe.
    Icheb: ded
    Nelix: Oh hell no!

The reason I think Chakotay fits is his past being a Maquis and other episodes where he's more of a fighter would fit into this slightly more violent show. He straight up punched maquis crew members in the face for disobeying Tuvok.

He had an interesting dynamic of working both for Starfleet and against it that could be very entertaining to see how he would react to both Seven and Picard.

Probably far from realistically happening but I see huge potential there if the writers put effort into that character

Let's not dismiss the possibility of Chakotay coming aboard...La Sirena could use a potted plant to spruce the place up.

Any of them would probably be better than Dr Jurati / Raffi, even Neelix
