Um - it means Alec probably no longer has a copy - he probably SENT the one HD of the footage he had to Lane. (It was the same situation he found himself in with Robert Mayer Burnett when Burnett was his Director and Editor). Now I doubt lane will keep/never return/destroy the footage (although it would be hilarious IF Paul Jenkins request Lane SEND HIM that Hard Drive - but if there's one thing that Alec has been consistent in, it's not making (or losing) his backups. So the fanfilmfactor blog mentions that Alec Peters had the raw footage from the recent shoots as he mentions receiving them himself via a hard drive in the mail so he could try and edit together a trailer for Axanar (not his spin off but Alec's movie).

Next? Funny timing: Paul Jenkins leaves, YouTube takes the channel down, and that's blamed on fake spams sent from a hacked e-mail account. Any bets that Alec blames Jenkins for the alleged hack / spam??So, the usual "We fired you!", "No, I resigned!" back-and-forth that has happened many times before with this crew.
