It was pre recorded earlier and they probably just got the final delivery dates from Russo, VFX team, and the editors over the weekend.
So looks like we’ve got 23 straight weeks of new Trek coming up. Not a bad way to close out a pretty dismal year.
SNW has leap frogged it for filming from what I have been told.......I wouldn't be shocked if it never happens.
I'm really okay with both of those things.

This made my day, seriously. I really needed some good news after all the depressing IRL shit going on in Hungary nowadays. Looks like we finally have something to look forward to during the rest of this abysmal year. Fingers crossed for a good season and an interesting new setting.
I'd be okay with them skipping Thursday, December 24th. At least if the situation with the Quarantine improves.
I expect it will be dropped during Lower Decks premier..........
This is great news. I thought they would delay it until 2021.
Now it seems that Discovery will finish its run in early January. After that there could be a while until we get more new stuff as Picard and SNW haven’t started production yet. The next new series may be Lower Decks season 2 or maybe more Short Treks if they made any during Discovery season 3.

Good that we're finally getting a date on Discovery season three. A shame they have nothing for the people waiting on an announcement of international deals for Lower Decks, though.
Bit of a surprise that they're still working on Section 31. Was kinda hoping they'd just sweep it under the rug.
