Last movie you saw?

Five, in a few days.

Frozen 2 - nowhere as good as the first one.
Hamilton - didn't like it.
Mad Max : Fury Road - rather enjoyed it.
Eurovision Song Contest : The Story of Fire Saga - mindlessly amusing. Moderately.
Parasite - over two hours of my life I won't get back.

All watched at home. Still amazed cinemas are open. I shan't be going anywhere near one...

Our regular one looks like it's shut again. (Going off their website last week, they were doing something like one showing of The Empire Strikes Back a day then). I wasn't planning on going though

"Mary Shelley's Frankenstein"
Directed by and starring Kenneth Branagh, with Robert De Niro as the monster
Madre fucking Mia

"The Three Musketeers" from 2011. I had never gotten around to it and finally the wife and I sat down and tried it out. Over the top, lots of CGI and fancy fighting. But, I was surprised at how closely it kept to the book in terms of plot and players.

If you enjoy sword play and sarcasm and a bit of a modern take on a classic novel it's a lot of fun.

Decided to check out Greyhound, because Tom Hanks. Unfortunately, it was kind of disappointing. It struck me more as an embedded film crew making a documentary on naval battles, than it did an actual movie. (Sorry, Mr. Hanks. :()

Although it was nice to see Canada represented! :)

I thik that's part of the reason I liked it. (Going to check out the original book at some point).

Last film I've seen was The Pelican Brief. (Currently, I'm part way through FX2)

Watched a couple over the last few days.

Greyhound over on Apple+ : Decent movie, enjoyed it quite a bit. Hanks was good, as usual.
The Old Guard over on Netflix : Decent, but not great. I guess I expected more. Little thin on plot...

And since the grand-daughter was over for the weekend and insists there has to be something on the TV that she likes, even though she's not really watching it, and is doing something else (Thank God for Disney+) ... Lady & The Tramp (3X), Little Mermaid (2X), Monsters Inc. (1X) and Beauty & The Beast (2X)... I think I've had my fill of Disney for a while....

Q2

RoboCop 3. Well, less violent, and no Weller, but other than that, I kinda liked it. Liked it more than the second one, for sure. And the supporting cast was impressive.

I went out to the Studio Movie Grill - Tyler the other night for Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

So, thanks to that trip, I've seen all four Indiana Jones movies on a theater screen.

The Final Countdown. Had heard of it, intrigued by the premise, but never watched it before. Boy is it dull as dirt.

They appeared to have full cooperation of the Navy so there are a lot of glory shots of the Navy in action, so that was cool, but for a movie about time travel and what they should or shouldn't do, they sure don't do much. They don't even have philosophical debates and discussions about their situation. We have the power to change history, what if we make things worse, let's do it anyway, I change my mind, the end. What about the crew members who died and you left their wreckage behind in 1941? Meh. What about the dead crew members you came back with? Meh.

Also, Martin Sheen's character served no purpose.

Just finished "Der Schatz im Silbersee" ("Treasure of the Silver Lake"), the first of the Winnetou films. Hadn't seen it in at least a decade.

Greyhound. It was good, suspenseful, but needed more. More scenes that didn't include Hanks. Some from the other ships, the planes, the different HQ's. Make it a real movie. Small budget I assume. And I found some of the sound effects annoying. But still good and worth watching.
