Last movie you saw?

Modern Times starring Charlie Chaplin, watched it with my wife for her film studies class.

Went to the AMC Lufkin twice in two days. Sunday, my niece and I watched The New Mutants. My second time watching it, her first. She liked it. Monday, I went to the re-release of Black Panther, its still awesome, and then The Broken Hearts Gallery, which was cute, but predictable.

Watched the first half hour of "Death Wish" tonight
How unbelievably bad, and the scene were the three thugs perpetrate the attack on Kersey's wife and daughter was simply in bad taste, typical of Michael Winner.

I usually like to watch horror movies once September rolls around till Halloween.

I haven't watched "Friday the 13th" (1980) in a while so I figured I'd start with that. Nothing like a good old fashioned slasher film.

On Sunday, I watched "Superman: The Man of Tomorrow" when it streamed on the DC Fandome. Liked it quite a bit, and I even fell for that red herring.

Watched Kenneth Branagh's "Murder on the Orient Express" the other night on Netflix. I'm really not looking to compare it to the Albert Finney version, as I haven't watched that one for at least ten years, but on it's own it was quite enjoyable.

I shall probably buy this one blind in the next week or two, I've bought most of the DC animated movies on blu-ray. They used to be excellent, often better than the live action movies, but they've become a bit "meh" in recent years, imho; not bad per se (apart from that godawful Batman and Harley Quinn), but far from essential.

Anyway, last night I watched Today We Kill... Tomorrow We Die! (Cervi, 1968), a Magnificent Seven-style spaghetti western in which a guy seeking vengeance recruits a bunch of rogues to help him dispatch a local villain played by Kurosawa favourite Tatsuya Nakadai (Yojimbo, Sanjuro, High and Low, Kagemusha, Ran). If you like a western or two this is well worth a look.

Fathom Events is screening that one in a few weeks. I plan to go to it.

Went out to the Cinemark Lufkin for The Dark Knight.

There was a couple in front of me, dude kept talking when the movie started. The couple in front of them tried shushing him, that didn't work. So, I leaned down and asked, "Excuse me, but are you going to talk for the whole movie, or just certain parts?" He says, "Just certain parts." The woman with him smacked that dude so hard, he shut up for the rest of the movie.

since Friday I've been watching one Star Trek movie a night. trying to do them all. so last night was TVH. Into every good plan, some rain must fall. ST5 tonight.

Had the BigD theater at AMC Tyler all to myself tonight for my third viewing of Tenet.

I've now seen it in each of the available formats - IMAX, 2D, BigD - out here. I think the closest 70mm option is in Austin.

Watched Stallones remake of "Get Carter" last night
Absolute dogshit, I couldn't believe how bad it was compared to the original.
