Star Trek passings

Stuntwoman Cheryl Wheeler Dixon also known as Cheryl Wheeler Duncan who doubled for Denise Crosby in the Next Generation episode code of honor was killed in what turns out to be a justifiable homicide a few days ago.
She was an accomplished martial artist along with being a top-notch stuntwoman who doubled for dozens of famous stars in movies and television. I'm not sure if you list stunt persons in this section or only actors with speaking lines.

Yeah that's a real tragic ending to an accomplished life. Just awful.
EDIT.
Well apparently the initial reports were not totally clear and she and her current husband tried to ambush her ex-husband and he killed them in self-defense!!
I really didn't want to turn this thread into an unseemly soap opera but I felt like I should clarify.

All us Trek fans seem to think our idols are perfect, innocent people to look up to. Some of these actors are in prison, some have police records, some were killed, some have taken serious drugs, including alcohol, pot, and coke to the point they have destroyed their lives. We all make mistakes but life can be brutal.

James Otis passed away March 3rd, 2020, age uncertain - Memory Alpha says 76; ImdB says 71. James played two characters in the Star Trek universe - He played the character of Solbor in DSN and a pah-wraith in DSN.

Gene Dynarski, passed away Feb. 27, 2020, age of 86. He played the character of Krodak in TOS's episode 'The Mark of Gideon' and Ben in 'Mudd's Women'. He also played Cmdr. Quinteros in ST:TNG's episode '11001001'.

Actors ≠the characters they play; if one has to assume then it's better to assume that than the other way around.

By the way Gene Dynarski was one of only 4 original series actors to appear on The X-Files
The others were the late Morgan Woodward, Kim Darby and Lee Duncan.

If anybody knows of any others let me know.

308 TOS actors have passed that I've kept track of. May be a few more that no info is available for.

Keel, do you have the entire list of all the original series actors in one place? Because at the beginning of this thread you had all the actors listed who were passed away at the time the thread was opened but I don't see anylist now with the entire 308 people. I'd like to cross-reference it with my list of the actors with speaking Parts who have passed away.

Grant, I can't send it all in one piece here. You got an email address?

Sad to see another TOS alumni pass away. I enjoyed Gene Dynarski's Trek roles, especially Ben Childress in "Mudd's Women" stands out the most. :weep:

I only learned today he played Commander Quinteros in TNG: "11001001" as well...I never recognized him! I even re-watched that episode and "Mudd's Women" recently and still didn't pick up on it.

Rest in peace to Gene Dynarski and all who helped build the universe of Star Trek.

If people break up, going after and murdering them... no. Lock up the killer for life. Nothing justifies that sort of murder.
