In the Netherlands the good news is that only 1% of people between 0 and 20 have the virus.
The weird thing is, they don't test people in that group, or many other age groups
 
Blood serums from covid-19 survivors could be used to treat current sufferers of the disease.

The German government is planning to loosen the lockdown to allow smaller shops and, gradually, schools (starting with graduating classes) to re-open, starting in early May. Bigger shops, restaurants, theaters and such will remain closed for the time being.

Correction: Smaller shops of up to 800 square meters (as well larger bookstores, bicycle dealers, public archives and... car dealers? Fucking German politics) will be allowed to open on Monday. Schools will open gradually, as described above, on May 4th, when hairstylists will be allowed to re-open, as well*. Restaurants, theaters and zoos will remain closed.

Also, the federal state North Rhine-Westphalia has announced to allow furniture stores to open on Monday.

*Seriously, what is it with the German government and hairstylists? They were initially included in essential businesses, now this. Guess what service needs to get really close to your head, where you can't wear a protective mask? I swear, they must have a more powerful lobby than we all thought.
 
Would it help if the hairdressers were required to wear a mask and gloves?
Sometimes I wish they would wear a mask anyway, since I can smell their breath when they are cutting my hair. :ack:

It would help a little, and that's the least they can do, but you, as you're getting your hair cut, can't wear a mask. Same way I have to take my glasses off to get a haircut, you can't wear a mask.

Then how do they know?? Your numbers are always going to seem low if you don't actually test.

IIRC, the free ebook for signing up was always for Americans only. Not sure if the one free ebook per week from a curated list would be the same or not (although I suspect it would be). I wonder which books are on the list?

^Grocery shopping is now The Hunger Games meets Supermarket Sweep.

So over 50 vets have died in a nursing home, 44 from the virus. That's 1/5th to 1/4th the population of the home. It's insane.

Also anyone see the BS Trump speech? Bars will remain close by gyms would reopen, gyms?!?! The only thing dirtier than a gym is a gym on a subway.

anyway it is a good day today..

doesn't this virus seem like a combination of the flu and pneumonia together.. --- some kind of super thing. going on. where the two illnesses got together to make this new one.?

He's going to win because the DNC cheated AGAIN and will throw brain dead Biden at us who no one will vote for. 25% (which is all you need, if that.) of Americans will vote for Trump because they are religious dumb fucks and not because of a $1200 tax refund advance. (It's not free money, that only goes to the corporations).

Anyways... positive thinking... maybe we will be dead by November. :techman:
