While of course the CEO's sit at home safe and sound.....disgusting company.
It's a virus. It has no nationality. It makes no difference where it may have started. It doesn't care where people are from. But it's not a virus that came from China i.e. a Chinese Virus. This is why I've lost hope in everything.

It makes a difference if it came out of a lab. The last thing we need are "new and improved" viruses being created, especially in third world countries.
Of course, I have no idea if that's the case, but with a virus this strong, it seems more likely it was created rather than naturally occurring.
If it was created, then I would have thought it would be made with a view to it being a whole lot deadlier than it is.
From the CDC website:It makes a difference if it came out of a lab. The last thing we need are "new and improved" viruses being created, especially in third world countries.

Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses. Some cause illness in people, and others, such as canine and feline coronaviruses, only infect animals. Rarely, animal coronaviruses that infect animals have emerged to infect people and can spread between people. This is suspected to have occurred for the virus that causes COVID-19. Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) are two other examples of coronaviruses that originated from animals and then spread to people.
Actually it does matter where it started. It's a virus. It has no nationality. It makes no difference where it may have started. It doesn't care where people are from.
If you look at the post that I was quoting, I was responding to calling it "Chinese Virus", not saying that we don't need to know where the pandemic started from.Actually it does matter where it started.
Because you can see what caused it to develop in the first place and look into reducing the risk of other viruses transferrin from animals to humans in the same conditions.
We got lucky with COVID-19 with its 1-3% mortality rate. Its bad yes but society can and will recover.
COVID-19 however had nastier cousins like SARS and MERS with 10-30% Morality rates and not just in the old and infirm but young, old and children. If something like that had got out we all really would be screwed. It would cause upheaval not seen since the Black death.
We need to see what made COVID-19 develop so we don't ever have to face that.
And it looks like it was the Chinese Wet markets. The world needs to put China and its lack of animal welfare and hygiene under very close scrutiny and criticism so we don't all end up dead by the next virus that appears there.

But that's racist or something. That's what I'm talking about in that all logic and reason has gone out of the window. We can't even talk about where it came from. I'm losing my damn mind.
Have a look at the WHO's website about the virus: https://www.who.int/[...] Maybe worse than we're being told. [...]
