I can totally see Kira leading a Starfleet task force into battle.
They did at least establish that Kira was capable of commanding a battle ship and coordinating with a fleet in various episodes, but really I see her more being an espionage/special operations type, assuming she would ever join SF.

Kira Nerys is the last person I would think would show up in PIC, since she has nothing to do with Picard, TNG, or anything else having to do with the story. Is there a reason why this needed a thread topic of its own (and with a poll, to boot) rather than just posting it in the Waldo topic? This is just getting stupid now.

I feel like this is going to be moved, but I will jump in. I think she would have been commander of DS9 for a few years and then gone back to Bajor. I don't really see her as a politician or religious figure, but she would obviously be doing whatever she could to help her people.

I don't see PIC ever venturing into this direction, but I really hope we get a series at some point that follows up in the goings on in that part of the galaxy. I mainly need some Cardassians, man.

Vedek is the only thing that makes sense, and I do get the feeling the Where is Wa Ido? thread will get an even longer title in the very near future

Cuddling to nostalgia even though the show also says it's trying to not rely on it? Yet all these characters are returning for the sake of getting audiences to tune in for the sake of nostalgia? I dunno.

The characters who have returned have a link to Picard in some way, either because they were former crewmates, or that they were former Borg. How does Kira have a link to Picard?

her sexual attraction to powerful men? i don't know

She's a Ranger leader. Pencil pushing desk job is just not Kira. Shes moved by a cause. To fight for justice, bend rules, break rules, make new rules. Admiral? Administrative office job? No way. I can see her taking off the uniform and the insignia after what happened 14 years ago, and joining the fight. To save lives, protect those with nothing, and be the law where there is no law.

The only way I'd be interested is if the events of the show lead Picard and his motley crew to shout at the Federation devil and become the Kickstarter of the [inevitable] fracturing of future Disco. And they need someone to teach them how to terrorist.

Just change it to "WHERE's THE OLD TREK CHARACTER I WANNA SEE ON PICARD..."
or "Where's Trek X-Character..."
;)

I think one person to consider is a surprise SMG appearance.

I know the higher-ups have said over and over that Disco 2 was not related to Picard. But - without getting into spoilers - some recent events have made me wonder how true that really is. And let's not forget that Chabon did write Calypso. And there is a very obvious plot to tie all three together there.

And yesterday it occurred to me that, given how it's unclear from the Pike scenes how deep the conspiracy cover-up/redaction goes, it's very possible Picard is the only person in the galaxy who even knows of Michael ever existed.

So the question is - because I genuinely don't know - can Rommies mind meld?

I'd rather have Wesley, together with Neelix. And Bareil. And that oily pit that the TNG crew talked to in S1 or 2. (And it's not that I hate Burnham... but, please, no.)
Hmmm, wait!
You mean she'll be the new Borg queen?
