I was thinking possibly an Emergency Psychiatrist Hologram. (EPH)

Trying to see if his Data PADD could indicate something...

 

Psychiatry should be covered by the EMH.

 

We're talking about Rios here, he's probably got 10 or 15 different EH's tucked away for every occasion.

They could be trying to figure out what happened to Maddox I suppose.

 

Don't forget the EMH kept popping up, asking Jurati what the nature of her psychiatric emergency was.

But maybe it's a non emergency specialist? Addiction or depression counseling?

 

It's just that the Sweater, the hair cut long and styled with the hat, and the way he's holding his arms, screams Psych Doc to me.

 

OMG he is wearing a beanie.

 

What Nationality do we think this one will be?

I'm guessing Scottish.
(so he might just end up being the Engineer)

 

Kind of like the opposite of "The Sure Thing" from the 80s.

 

They could make Emergency Holograms for every job on the ship, including specializations. One could be a counselor. You could have an emergency command hologram to take over the ship when the crew is down, an emergency engineering hologram, tactical, security, etc. If they are all Cabrera on this ship, that certainly gives him an opportunity to play multiple parts.

 

Considering it will be all 26 years since Picard faced the borg, I'm wondering if we will get a wolf 359 flashback?

 

It might be the Emergency Didn't-Feel-Like-Getting-Up-Today Hologram. His only job is to tell passengers not to bother talking to the captain because he's sleeping in.

 

Maybe he's the Emergency "Hold my hair back while I vomit into the toilet bowl after going on a depressed bender" Hologram.

 

I can definitely imagine that whenever Rios wants to listen to an audiobook he just gets one of his EHs to read a physical book aloud for him.

I like the audiobook idea. He could even cycle through the accents.
