Even after Picard's badgering she still could have feigned ignorance about the necklace indicating a twin though.
It was harmless enough at the time, Jurati may not have been aware of its importance.

Someone who read the Last Best Hope novel feels that book implies Agnes was bad long before meeting Oh.
Everyone was wondering about who triggered the attack on Mars as that would lead to the why and vice versa.

I haven't read the book but there is no doubt that Agnes Jurati is my No 1 Suspect right now regardless of the book, whether she is/was a member of the Zhat Vash or not, alternatively she may have been trying to protect the twins all along and decided that Maddox was endangering them, after all no one currently suspects her of assisting in their creation, even the Commodore may not be aware.

If it is the case it should lead us to the why and whether or not it was her intention to screw the Romulans as well.

Imagine if she is a member of Humanity First, the attack on Mars would quite literally kill two birds (get it) with one stone.

IMHO the biggest flaw with the idea Jurati was always a baddie is that Maddox was happy to see her - not terrified. If he went into hiding after the synth attacks on Mars, he had to feel like a conspiracy was moving against him. This should have led to him suspecting her to some degree - and indeed, his cutting off of contact suggests that. But his tone with her implies total surprise at her betrayal. Maddox can't have been a total idiot if he's lived on the run all these years, can he?

He would not have known she was the cause, they looked pretty loved up in the flashback and he may have been caught hook line and sinker.

It may end up being something else entirely though.

I would have thought that Picard and the others on the La Sirena wouldn't be idiots either but if Jurati really gets away with killing Maddox without suspicion it would seem to indicate the opposite.

All those holograms are there for a plot reason. I strongly suspect they will surround Agnes and announce her guilt while she desperately screams "Computer, deactivate holograms!" It'd be a nice inversion where that line actually means the holograms are working properly, not the other way around.

Hard to say, trailers can be misleading at times, alarms should have gone off immediately to warn the bridge of the problem in the Med Bay, unless Jurati disabled them but I would have expected her to also disable the EMH if that was the case.

Picard has to find out the secret somehow, so its going to be Agnes, Narek or Rizzo assuming she doesn't get killed, it cant be the Commodore as she is on Earth as far as we know.

Must admit I fancy Narek and Rizzo as earlier prototype synthetic twins, that is assuming there are more than just Dahj/Soji, Rizzo acts just like Lore did and Narek is in some ways similar to Data in being the opposite of Rizzo.

It's Brian Brophy!

No.

This is Brian Brophy. Duh.

;)

Well after Maddox tells her of his, their work she says “That’s something else I must atone for.”

I think Oh showed her something so terrible about synths that it broke her enough to follow her orders, and regret the actions she took in their creation.

Whether what she showed her was real, or true, who knows.

I just had a craaaaaazy thought. Warning: this is pretty wild.

What if Hugh was the one behind the Mars Attack? He's been pretty quiet. What if he hacked the Synths? What if he's known about Dahj and Soji all along? He's the one person no one's been talking about.
