Spoilers Star Trek Picard - Only for Adults?

Just show them Terminator 2 because it teaches family values

Didn't expect to see this in here. Terminator 2 is the first R-rated movie I ever saw. I had to keep pushing and pushing before my mother would finally let me see it.

And I saw it and -- surprise, surprise -- I turned out all right. "I turned out all right"... okay, that's debatable, but you know what I mean. It wasn't anything T2 had to do with. ;)

Terminator 2 taught people that if a machine can be taught the value of human life, then maybe we can too.

Checkmate, Zhat Vash.

Wow - Amazon checks government ID card for age verification, that's kinda scary... Or is it a separate number for only that purpose?

Its the regular full ID Card Number, the same that´s entered at an airport border control for example.

Only the last episode. Or for user who want to buy or watch videos with adults only contents. Oddly, they didn't ask for my identity card number for the Absolute Candor episode .....

Green blood I guess. And swift edit.

I wouldn't have an issue with my kid watching it. I was playing Mortal Kombat & watching things like Nightmare on Elm Street along with all the other kids at school from the age of about 10 and none of us ended up disturbed.
Are you absolutely sure you're not down with the sickness?

Uh, why? If in the USA they have to sell cigarettes or alcohol to someone and they aren't sure about the person age, don't they ask him/her to see a driving license or something similar (i.e. a government ID card)?

Nothing in Picard will ever be more traumatising than when Atreyu loses Artax in the Swamp of Sadness during the Neverending Story. Still cannot watch that to this day and I am 37. I've watched Icheb get his eye poked out 3 times now.

I admit I had to turn away at what they were doing to Icheb on the first viewing, mostly because I hadn't been expecting it though. I've since watched it a couple times with no trouble.

On the other hand, to this day I absolutely refuse to watch Marley and Me. :(

Well.. I remember a radio program i was listening to, had a teacher or a person who when in to an elementary school.. 7-8 years old or so.. maybe a bit younger.. Well, he was flabergasted that when he asked what there favorite movie was.. it was It! ( the new one) a hard R movie! What the hell are parents showing there kids? Lets keep some inocence in our kids.. please.. Plenty of time to be adults..
I'm not a prude, but star trek? something I watched when I was 5? having the F word, and torture and blood and guts now?

When did Star Trek not have torture or violence?
