Spoilers Star Trek Picard - Only for Adults?

I don't know where the age limit is in your country to be able to watch Picard. For watching the last episode I had to register on Amazon with the numbers of my identity card to prove that im 18 or older.
A government ID card?

German Personalausweis - so, yes. German ID cards are now a chip card with many numbers. They used to be paper cards.....
Wow - Amazon checks government ID card for age verification, that's kinda scary... Or is it a separate number for only that purpose?

Only the last episode. Or for user who want to buy or watch videos with adults only contents. Oddly, they didn't ask for my identity card number for the Absolute Candor episode .....

You just wait until episode 9, when Gul Madrid kidnaps and tortures Picard again.:p
That would give Steve Shives incentive to revive the "naked Picard" gag on his Trek, Actually videos.

It was the eye scene. The beheading likely didn't count as similar bad because of the green blood, not seeing the cut neck from above and the Romulan dying very fast and didn't suffer.

Is there any nudity in it?
There was one bedroom scene so far between a young couple, but like usual on US TV they wore clothes in bed.

I don't have kids but, if I did, I'd feel okay with showing them Discovery and Picard at some point when they're in middle school or junior high (whatever you want to call it these days).

TNG in Germany was cleared for 12 year old minors - with the exception of the famous scene in Conspiracy (where Remmick's head has been shot off) being cut from the episode.

Are there any age restrictions in your country or are people under 18 able to register for watching Picard? Is age limitation necessary?

I think age limitation was necessary. Cutting out violent scenes makes the viewer miss some important developments in the story line. On the other hand, I hope that they will keep the violent scenes at a minimum.....

That's really strange! I didn't need to insert my code to bypass the age restriction. It was cleared for 16 year olds. And as far as i can tell, Icheb's ordeal was uncut.

This is very true...

Star Trek, ALL Star Trek, are very safe for children in comparison.
AND there are some very lovely and wonderful things in ST that can be inspirational for kids and adults.

Nope. Not unless parents are extra shit about the options on YouTube. And YouTube itself has content restrictions. And ‘huh, well, they can see worse’ is a daft idea. Otherwise, my as well put hardcore porn on at two in the afternoon, and just randomly shoot people.

It's not strange. It's normal. I wouldn't want a 9 year old girl to register on Amazon unrestricted to see Icheb being tortured or something like this.

On the other hand: there are 10 year old kids these days who share porns on their smartphone without any adults who give a damn....

That's not what i meant. I read something about the episode being "frei ab 18", before i watched it.

When i finally did on friday evening, it was 16 and unrestricted...

Also, if you want Trek that's kid-friendly? Two series along those lines are being produced as we type.
