You can have regular acting gigs in multiple movies and TV series across multiple genres including scifi for over a decade and Star Trek fans will have never heard of you or seen your work. Or, it leads me to imagine that Star Trek fans don't watch much other than Star Trek.

These days I'm mainly watching vintage shows in anniversary sync. Old shows are new if you haven't seen them, or saw them so long ago that you don't remember the episodes.

I do suspect that a lot of people are the same, they rewatch a lot of old stuff. I don't, because there is so much new stuff coming practically every single week.

I have pretty tightly defined interests (really only into SFnal stuff and documentaries). I also have limited time. I have kids, my wife doesn't want to ever watch any TV, meaning at most I have 1-3 hours at night to watch. And I've been a cord-cutter for like 20 years meaning if I can't catch it on streaming, I don't see it.

Plus I still like to play computer games, read, and shitpost on the internet. So the "me time" beginning at 9 PM could be taken up by any one of a number of different things depending upon the day.

I assumed that a planet with an intelligent species already living there (for whatever reason) would not be an ideal location for Romulan refugees.

Why?

I would presume that most good colony worlds aren't left uninhabited - yet at the same time they tend to be settled very lightly. Further, I would presume that the Federation wouldn't want to cede entire planets to Romulan refugees within its borders.

I mean, when nations accept refugees today, do they settle them in totally uninhabitable territory?

Why?

Humans and Romulans aren't exactly the best of friends.

Especially now that Romulus itself has been destroyed. The refugees might target any humans they encounter for a bit of "retribution" for the Federation turning its back on Romulus.
