Woahwoahwoah--don't bring that shit in here, too!after reading your very questionable definition of "Mary Sue"
Dr. Evil would do it for 1/25.I'd do it for half that.
I just think it's hilarious that kurtzman was evil when the supernova threatening the galaxy now he's still evil because the supernova doesn't threaten the galaxy.
Geez, it's like Star Trek has never retconned it's own canon before..
This was a good retcon I think. I was glad they ditched the "threaten the Galaxy" bit. It complicates the Red Matter issue, but they can just retcon that too if it ever comes up.
Guys, they retconned it. That's it. Never mind about Spock and his mind melds. BrainGenius Alex Kurtzman decided to shitcan what they said in 2009. That's it.
That, believe it or not, is the most accurate description for Kurtzman's job.So, should we call Kurtzman the New Berman?
Or things Braga had no involvement in at all. Like DS9, Insurrection, Nemesis, and that Star Trek The Beginning movie that Berman tried developing. My favorite is blaming Braga for stuff that happened before he was on staff.![]()
The novel says the nova causes disruption in a 10 lightyear radius. While that’s big it’s still a small percentage of the Romulan Star Empire so it wouldn’t be that much of a big deal.
That’s not true.
Which is of course based on our climate crisis. How big of a deal it was would've been dependent on how the governments reacted to it. In the Romulans case, they did very little, which is why it had such a devastating impact even with nearly a decade of fore knowledge.
Which is of course based on our climate crisis.
Ah, so it was clearly a hoax.Which is of course based on our climate crisis.

Have I mentioned how much I like Chabon? So Chabon says they didn't use the name 'Hobus' because it isn't canon. He also says he would have probably used the name if he didn't dislike it

I thought up a possibility for how Romulus' sun could go supernova yet Spock realistically try to save Romulus by turning it into a black hole. The Romulan system is a binary system, with 2 stars. Only one of them is going supernova. If Spock turns that one into a black hole, there's still another star to provide warmth to Romulus.
