List Only! Last Star Trek Episode You Watched

"Vox Sola": A little piece of advice: Don't watch this while you're eating, it's kinda disgusting. Other than that, a planet with a unique evolved form of life on it, doesn't make a lick of sense. Ecosystems have millions of forms of life, some evolved and some very primitive. But this nonsense has been going on since ST exists so... that and species that don't eat, like this one, Btw!!!

"Fallen Hero": Yeah, the chances of a disgraced diplomat bringing down a corrupt system... Besides aren't diplomats supposed to stay away from the internal affairs of the countries they are in? Aside from that, it's a very watchable episode, though.

"Desert Crossing": Meh!

"Two Days And Two nights": I kinda enjoyed the Trip and Malcolm story... The rest... the less said about it the better...

"The Vulcan Hello" (DSC)

Now that TNG and the relevant parts of VOY are fresh in my mind for Picard, I just watched over 200 hours of the Berman Era over the last few months. Now it's Discovery that I have to get fresh in my mind again, so I can intelligently compare the two main series of the Kurtzman Era.

"Shockwave I & II": A fairly good two-parter. A few remarks though. First, Archer seems to have a harder time accepting the deaths of 3000 people that he would have caused accidentally than that of millions of people that he caused willingly... The Sulibans have a different way of extracting information from women than they do from men, for the latter the truth serum is called "beating the shit out of them"...:D The infamous gazelle speech... need I say more?

"Carbon Creek": I don't get all the flak this episode is getting, it's way better than some of the real clunkers in this season. Of course, there are a few mistakes, like Velcro wasn't invented at that time nor or on that continent. But that's not important. All in all, I rather enjoyed it.

"Minefield": One of the highlights of this season. Unfortunately, that doesn't say much. One thing though, without any lateral thrusters it's impossible that they could stop spinning and face the explosion with the doors in front of them the way they did: "Newton's first law of motion"...

"Dead Stop": Another good one, with B'elanna Torres in charge of the station... Oh, wait!!!

Scientific Method - I love Reckless Janeway

Year of Hell - This is a hell of a two parter. Annorax was a great villain. Also, it has the famous "Times Up" line

Now I'm rewatching the latest episode of Picard, "The End is The Beginning".

Random Thoughts - I didn't know Gwyneth Walsh played someone other than B'etor. I think this might be Tuvok's best episode of the series. I mentioned his comfort zone a while back, I was thinking this episode as a perfect example.

Concerning Flight - Eh, it was fine, I guess. It was an excuse to give Leonardo Da Vinci his own episode. I did like the gliding scene though.

I am noticing one thing watching Season 4 as fast as I've been watching it. For all the talk about Seven of Nine taking over the show, it doesn't happen in Season 4. In fact, I think B'Elanna has gotten more screen time than Seven, but then I know later in the season Dawson became pregnant and wore that nice uniform with the pens and metals. I guess like the comments about Kirk being a womanizer (He wasn't), Voyager becoming more Seven based in season 4 is a little overstated.

I did love the ending of Random Thoughts where Seven comes barging into Janeway's quarters and expresses her "thoughts" on stopping to meet alien races in the Delta Quadrant. Mulgrew and Ryan's chemistry really did happen pretty quick. I know it shifts to more Ryan and Picardo, but in Season 4 it really was fun watching Janeway mentor Seven and it was a theme that took us all the way to the end.

Where No Man Has Gone Before - After watching this episode for the umpteen time, I focused on how some of scenes were filmed. One special scene I never noticed before was the first series turbolift ride with Kirk, Spock and Mitchell. It was one continuous shot from Mitchell jumping through the closing doors of the turbolift (two wall corridor set is outside of doors), short ride with great conversation, then the doors open onto the bridge full of action and people. Mirroring this, ST09 did a similar scene in the movie.

"A Night In Sickbay": One of the clunkers I was talking about. We hardly need an episode to show how much of an ass Archer can be if anything we need something to redeem himself. Phlox at his most disgusting...

"Marauders": We can't possibly let fifty people get bullied without intervening, letting millions of people die by withholding a cure for their illness on the other hand... "Archer's moral compass".

"The Seventh": Sending someone back on a mission for which they had to undergo memory "cleansing" in order to regain their balance may not be the smartest move to make for people who are famed to be logical.

"The Communicator": Wow!!! These aliens are such lousy shots!!! It's ridiculous. They must have fired like a hundred bullets at Archer's people!!!

"Singularity": Phlox was in a really crazy state!!! Any worse and he would have done insane things like finding a cure for an illness that was killing millions and choosing not to give it to them...Nah! Too far fetched!

"Vanishing Point": A "it was just a dream" episode. If you like those, you're gonna love this one.

"Precious Cargo": Pew!

"The Catwalk": Ok.

"Dawn": Deja vu! One man, one alien, stranded on a planet and forced to work together even though they started as enemies... There are at least one movie and one TNG episode matching that description.

"Stigma": I am guessing it's an AIDS metaphor...

"Cease Fire": Ok. I kinda these Shran episodes except for the first one. Of course, it's a bit weird that Shran seems to be everywhere... (including in the Expanse).

"Future Tense": Not bad. The bigger in the inside sounds like deja vu though...;)

"Canamar": Ironic that we never see Canamar...

"The Crossing": I guess not all energy aliens are as evolved as the Organians.

Mortal Coil - I think Voyager tackled death really well and this was probably the best one covering that theme. I also think it was Neelix at his very best, showing his impact as Moral officer on the crew. Phillips displays a tenderness here that we really don't see much from Neelix, and I like the idea of Trek talking about the crisis of faith, however poignant. Also this is the episode with the Kazon were too primitive to be assimilated joke, and the way Ryan says it is kind of hilarious in a 7 of 9 way.

Waking Moments - Voyager does inception before inception was a thing. It's an ok story, but at least it featured Cakotay.

Still, Seven has only been featured a few times this season. Also, Waking Moments is when we first see Be'lanna wearing the jacket. I actually wish she had kept it post pregnancy. Maybe if I am in Vegas I might ask her if that was ever in the cards.

It's nice to see how you're keeping close tabs on my comings and goings...

Although you're not doing a stellar job of it as I didn't post for nearly two days, though...

Of course, I didn't watch them in 3 hours but the last time I was forced to interrupt my review... I have other things to do aside from posting on this site...

Don't hesitate to ask me, next time you need me to explain the obvious. It's always a pleasure.

Yesterday at 9:14AM, you said the last episode you watched was Singularity.

By 12:46 PM yesterday (3 hours and change later), you say you watched 9 more episodes. That's exactly what you wrote.

Perhaps you would enjoy going to the Enterprise Forum and posting in their rewatch thread instead?

Since, as I told you, this is not a review thread.

Have a lovely day.

I watched a good portion of Star Trek:The Motion Picture last night. The theatrical version. I'm resigned to the fact that I may never see the SLV again. The theatrical version is the same version, just edited a bit.

People criticize the pastel uniforms but they play against the colors of the Enterprise interior so well. The blue uniforms look like extensions of the interiors. The pastel browns and the bright whites play off the blues perfectly. It's that attention to detail and cinematic eye that makes TMP re-watchable. That and the brilliant score by Jerry Goldsmith is really the heart and soul of the movie. The story and characters are pretty thin but the script established V'ger as a truly powerful threat. That's what drives what little there is of a story.

I didn't say when I watched them I just listed them, but as I said previously. I had to interrupt my list and so I resumed it later where I left off.

Was I supposed to skip the episodes I didn't list the first time?

I am not the only one giving a short review of the episodes I watched. Maybe you should issue a collective... directive.
