Got her autograph and a handshake too.
Did she rush off to wash her hand immediately afterward?

Naaah... She didn't have time to get to know my history.Did she rush off to wash her hand immediately afterward?![]()
An how did Soji know all that stuff about the borg ship assimilating the romulans.
that's the reason why you are going to watch seven more episodes - to find out about itI'm glad Naris and Zhebrev survived the attack of the Romulan spies and outsmarted the villians. The stuff with Soji and the former Romulan borg drone Ramba talking about synthoids with one would was a healer and another destroyer was odd how did she know that. An how did Soji know all that stuff about the borg ship assimilating the romulans.
you sir, are using dirty words - if you weren't a mod i'd certainly inform one
Also, this isn't Picard, at all, I'm watching TNG and it's films alongside this and this is not the same character
I don't think so, it was indicated that she somehow knew the information about the ship and she stated that must have been in a file she read somewhere, the look on Nareks face indicated that was impossible.I thought she got a look at a classified file?
I think in the First Contact it works really well, because there Picard losing his cool due the past trauma is is an important part of the story. Not so much in the other films.Funny you should mention watching the shows and films alongside each other without issue, given one of the main complaints about the TNG films is how differently Picard is depicted from the shows - from his desire for vengeance at the cost of his crew in First Contact to hooning around on an alien world while Worf blasts the natives in Nemesis,
Yeah, ummm ...
slaves don't get to hide weapons in the masters house or tell him he's fuk'd up all the time.
Laris & Zahban are welcome Guests and act more like bodyguards at Chateau Picard.
Picard stashes a fu*k ton of guns under tables of his home. So much for Earth being a peaceful paradise.
More mysteries and questions raised, why do you want to go to cloud city or wherever? Find out 4 episodes later.
The Romulan help did the stashing.Picard, not so much.

Not an inconsistency! He dated women of that age on TNG too, it's just that he then was twenty years of their senior!Let us not forget the Picard that was depicted in TNG who, as a young man, devoted a significant amount of his time in the pursuit of banging cougars.

No it wasn't. DS9 also did not take place in the Federation. DS9 also made it very clear that Earth was a utopia even if DS9, Bajor etc wasn't. Also if you think DS9 was anti-Roddenberry you don't actually get DS9.
The Federation we are seeing in Picard is literally Trump/Brexit era UK/US with teleporters and shuttlecraft. No way in a million years would the Federation have such a massive cultural shift in the span of a few years dropping all it's ideals for petty xenophobia and racism. Especially when Earth itself has suffered far worse attacks from the Breen, Borg and Xindi which did not result in widespread xenophobia and racism.
This show is just the lame "Failed Federation" plot that gets pitched, without actually having the guts to actually destroy the Federation.
After watching the last three episodes I felt much the same way you did in that the writers were trying to paint modern day politics and social issues onto the UFP, but I’d been giving this some thought for the last few days and I’ve come to the conclusion that most people in the Federation, or at least on Earth, probably have the same idealism that our heroes did on TNG. We’re only seeing a small sample of the overall whole. And unfortunately that small sample consists of people haunted by their past. They’re all damaged goods.
Conversely, when we’re first introduced to Dahj, we see her happy and excited about her acceptance to the Daystom Institute. Her sister Soji also seems like she wants to do good in life and make a difference. We have Dr. Jurati who also seemed like a genuinely good, honest and happy person.
Admiral Clancy didn’t seem like a bad person, at least not to me anyway. Sure, she ripped into Picard like a first year cadet, but his was a big ask. He was claiming a secret group of Romulans spies were operating on Earth and to top it off, a new type of synth was waltzing around advanced way beyond known technologies, without proof, mind you, and he wanted Starfleet to sanction a mission to find the now dead super advanced synth’s sister. All of this after he publicly threw SF leadership under the bus, just a few days earlier.
The only bad people so far, at least as far as UFP citizens, are Commodore Oh and Rizzo (I don’t recall the rest of her name or her rank).
I guess until I see evidence to the contrary, I don’t think society in the 24th century hasn’t changed all that much from 30 years ago.
