I think she may just be stupid and in the dark. I assume the Commodore from Section 31? is the puppet master. Nice to see a Commodore again, it's been a minute or two.

I'm not sure if she's Section 31 or just a Vulcan that wants to work with Romulans for some reason.

I thought the episode was pretty good. Interesting that we got more insight into the Tal Shiar, which I didn't expect.

The reasoning for the Federation deciding not to help the Romulans after the attack on Mars is at least somewhat reasonable...members left/threatened to leave, they didn't have enough ships, etc. Though I think Admiral Clancy could have expressed it better than saying they could decide what species survive.

Thankfully, the episode ended the theory that Geordi died in the attack.

I'm thinking she's another Romulan Plant just like Ambassador T'Pel.
(who was actually Sub-commander Selok)

"Data's Day" (TNG)

I was happy to hear that name drop as well.

And apparently, Beverly is still alive as well.
Though I wish They had at least gotten Gates do a voice-over to tell Jean-Luc where to put his call.
"... Beverly, DON'T HANG UP ...

I was wrong.
I went back and listened again.
He called Raffi.
I heard it wrong the first time.

Poo... :sigh:

Damn this episode really shows that the federation and Starfleet are starting to look even more corruptible. Things certainly have changed since the days of Pike and Kirk.

sucks that this series is only ten episodes I would gladly enjoy a full 20 episode season.

Here's what I noticed... (edit: removed spoiler tags cause everyone posts the same stuff anyway)

We see the synth attack in 2385 (that smile though!)
Zhat Vash seems to be behind the Tal Shiar
Molecular reconstruction shows past events (in color!)
Moritz Benayoun from the Stargazer is his physician
SFHQ has TNG doorbells
Fleet Admiral Clancy, the Starfleet C-in-C, says "fucking"
Picard never cared for science fiction, didn't get it
Dahj was about 3 years old
The Vulcan/Romulan with the framed pip is a commodore
Riker, Worf, and Geordi are mentioned, so Geordi apparently survived the attack
Starfleet could be behind Dahj's death
Narek's sister's magnetic pin came off during the scene
The uniform's colored part has little Starfleet arrows on it like in ST2009
In the preview, we see Picard in the Countdown uniform, so we'll see more flashbacks to the attack

lives up to the term, “Badmiral”. We’ve seen the Federation do bad stuff before but it seems like they’ve really gone off the deep end this time.

"Badmiral" and "Bitchiyev" (excuse the language) rhymes very well. This Admiral must be Bitchiyev 2.0 ;)

And apparently, Beverly is still alive as well.

Music to my ears a Picard/Crusher fan;);). Let's hope they'll bring Gates McFadden back in S2 :techman::beer:

Any words about Geordi and his fate?

"Synth's - you're plastic people who are fun to be with" - Sirius Cybernetics Corporation.

Should have known they'd go bad.

Oh, also "liked" the mention of the defect in his parietal lobe, mentioned in "All Good Things..." and how it can lead to various things, including Irumodic Syndrome.

A possible plot in future seasons I suppose. I wonder whether it's the cause of Picard's dreams seeing Data and all...

When was the Crusher reference? I only caught the reference to Riker, Worf, and Geordi.

Did Geordi survive the Mars attack?
