We have a grading thread. I’m not sure of my grade yet. Will be giving the episode another look tonight.

A from me.......might be the strongest debut episode from all of Trek. Lush and beautiful to look at as well...........but can they maintain it? We will see.

4 and 0.75 stars out of 5 on the Hythloscale (TM) for well paced, directed and acted drama on a streaming service

I'll give it a B+ or 8/10. Very good but certainly not flawless.

A+. The most enjoyable Trek episode for me since the DS9 premier.

    I'm going with a 9.

If we want treat this like the school system and go with letter grades, I'd give it an A-minus. ;)

I'm a very biased Star Trek fan.
I give almost all the episodes a 9 or a 10 upon first viewing.
(with only a few outstanding exceptions)

    This ones a TEN.

As a stand alone episode I'd give it a B. As a premier episode to set up the rest of season I'd give it an A.

    47 out of Ω.

I'd heard those attending early screenings found the first one lacking in isolation. I kind of see the point, but I'd say it was more that it definitely left me wanting more without being disappointing in the slightest.
