I think Nemesis completely ignores the characters in a way that Abrams Trek never did.

Yes, he is very much wearing Makeup, regardless of whether digital touch'ups get done, it would be pointlessly time consuming(and more expensive) to film him with a normal skin, and not contact lenses, then digitally recolor his skin and eyes, certainly that stuff is possible, but it's ridiculously impractical and pointless to do it, and again, expensive, some people think a bit of skin smoothing touch'ups are expensive, just totally doing his makeup from scratch digitally is considerably more, and it would not look nearly as good as having his makeup on him in camera.
Given how long it's been since Brent wore that Make-up, I don't think it's nearly as big an issue to come back and do it for what is likely brief appearances on this show, back when Data was killed off in Nemesis, Brent had been wearing the makeup for a long time, when taking into account the 7 seasons of TV, then 4 movies with a few years in between each, not doubt he was tired of it. but it's been quite some time

Insurrection is one of my favorite Trek movies, mainly because it's probably the one that feels the most like an episode with a bigger budget and run time.
Nemesis is pretty my least favorite Trek movie, along with The Final Frontier.

I don't think it's that so much as just covering for the 7 years the show ran. All of the cast, including Spiner, noticeably aged from Encounter At Farpoint to All Good Things...She's a beta quadrant ship

NEM makes TFF look like The Godfather...or something.
TFF is way better than Nemesis. It is perhaps the weakest of the original cast movies, but it is much better than people give it credit for.
That isn't hard to do to be better than Nemesis.
I can't agree with this. TFF is easily worse. Shatner butchered that one. Roger Ebert said it best that the mighty Klingons were reduced to being guests at a tea party.
The original concept had God and Satan in a final battle in front of Kirk, Spock and Bones. That is nothing like any Star Trek that I've ever seen.
And yet he liked ST6, wherein the Klingons come to a dinner party.
