News Brent Spiner Returned for "Picard" (and you could do the CGI better in 15 minutes, we get it)

Those few posts above seem like there isn't much love for TNG here.
Not from me, no. But, it wasn't enjoyable for me. But, many here do enjoy it and on and on.

But, that doesn't mean we cannot be critical either. It's a balancing act to be struck. No doubt Picard will garner its own ciritics soon enough.

One can like tng but also be critical of it.

As we should be.
No point watching TV series or for example listening to a certain band thinking that they can't go wrong with anything.

But, that doesn't mean we cannot be critical either.
Now that I think about it, I might be too critical about TNG.... but still, it's my favourite series.
(at least I think it is, recent 24 season 1 marathon made that decision more difficult. :) )

TNG is a fine series, with ups and downs like all series. It's just not a for me series. :)

looks like they have dialed back the digital face smoothing, but seems like they can't do anything about Spiners cheeks.

I think that the third version of Data is actually completey unretouched. it's only one or two frames long in the spot so why would they need even need to deage him? The trailer guys might not have access to complete episodes.

There are now three versions of Data:

I recall a few people here doubting that there had been any deaging, and were sure that it was just makeup, well, there is a shot of him without the touchups(or seriously toned down), now I don't mean he looks bad when I say that, what I mean is specifically, people doubted there had been any digital work, here is proof that the initial trailer appearance of Data had been touched up

That makes a lot of sense. Why touch up a half second shot of him?
